“Just perfect!”

We stayed there for 4 comfortable nights! Everything you need, they got it. Very clean, very cozy. Hotel owner speaks some English, very helpful and make great coffe in the morning. Breakfast is quite good for Italian standard. The hotel locates nearby Firenze C.M., and you can also easily take bus 11 or 17 to the hotel from Firenze SMN.

There is everything you need just around the corner: pharmacy, good restaurants (I highly recommend you try Re Matto! The owner is very passionate and the whole restaurant is full of joy!), laundry shop (they say self serve, but actually the kind staff/owner help you do your laundry, so you can just drop it in the morning and then pick up before 7:30 pm, without spending your time doing laundry), bakery, and etc.

The only inconvenience we experienced was that there is no elevator in the building, so you have to carry your luggage all the way to 2nd floor; and sometimes there is mosquitos in the room.

Over all, I highly recommend this hotel to stay for multiple days if you come to firenze! You will find peaceful and comfortness here as compared to living in downtown.

Stayed here for five nights. Once you've got up the two flights of stairs with your luggage you find yourself at Hotel Emma. The hotel is all on one level with the reception and eating area directly as you walk in. The eating area is beautifully decorated, with some lovely pieces of furniture. Breakfast is what you would expect, with the owners attentive and providing drinks. Would be nice to see some fresh fruit on the table in the future...? Room was very clean, not much storage room, had a large bathroom with modern facilities and again, everything clean. Everything seemed quiet from about 11pm through to about 7.30am.
At the end of the corridor there is a lovely well maintained roof terrace, bit chilly in early April, but I imagine it would be lovely sitting out there in the summer.
The male owner is very helpful in assisting you with how to reach the centre of Florence, there are a number of buses that you can catch, (10, 11 & 17), which in just under ten minutes gets you to San Marco Piazza in the centre. (Don't catch the number 20 unless you want a 40 minute drive around Florence suburbs!). This is the same square where you catch the 11 & 17 back, these stop directly outside the hotel. Buses run freqently and tickets are only 1.20, we used them all over the Easter weekend and there didn't seem to be a shortage despite the bank holiday.

Room Tip: There are two rooms which are off the area where you eat, expect to be woken from about 7.30 when br...

Pleasant accommodation in Florence. Indeed, it isn't in the city centre, but there are the buses to take there in no more than 15 min. The owners are very kind, the rooms are large enough for a couple, we were upgraded because of some mistake with the bookings to a room with a huge bed, which we didn't mind at all. We've seen also the smaller ones and I have to say they were even a bit more cozy. Overall a very good deal, we payed 29 euros a night in march.

Room Tip: those leading to the backyard: the place itself isn't spectacular, but you can catch a glimpse o...

We stayed here in Sept 2011 for 2 nights. Room was a generous size, with a good ensuite and was nice and clean. There is a nice terrace to sit and enjoy a drink while taking in the roof top view. Breakfast is good, with a nice expresso coffee machine. The owner was helpful, even though his english wasn't that great, he explained on a map bus stops etc. The bus stop is right outside (when coming from the train station, although I cant remember the bus number - maybe 17, 11 or 10 which also have stops just around the corner). The hotel is a little walk from the main centre (15 mins or so) but is a very easy and pleasent walk.

I spent a couple of nights with my husband in the hotel Emma, in the neighborhood I used to live in where I was a student in Florence. It is still and excellent location, situated on plenty of bus lines and surrounded by shops of any kind. The hotel's owner was kind and professional, unlike the shabby woman that TRIED to serve us breakfast the first morning...She was messy, wearing a sweatsuit with flip flops and no socks and speaking in a very strong southern Italian accent difficult to understand, but the worst thing is that she was completely uncapable of making a simple espresso using the espresso machine! Nevertheless, it was quite a pleasant stay, with no other particular problems. Rooms were quite and small but clean.

This is a nice family run hotel. Rooms are clean, quiet, and very cozy. The hotel staff does not speak excellent English but they were very helpful in telling us the dos and donts for the city.

The hotel is not in the city center - 30 min walking distance or for those which are lazy to walk there are 2 bus stops just in front of the hotel and 3 buses that go to the center.

The terrace of the hotel is very nice to drink a good red wine at night.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with private bathroom.
