My family and I had a lovely stay at the Residence Michelangiolo! The house and accommodations were absolutely lovely! Everything about the Villa had great charm and Angela helped make our Florence and Tuscan trip very memorable! Angela runs the Residence Michelangiolo and she helped plan a Tuscan wine tasting tour and recommended great local restaurants. I can't say enough great things about Angela, the villa and our amazing Florence experience!

This was a girlfriend's trip that we planned on the spur of a moment. I had stayed here before and went back for more. We originally booked a smaller room with twin beds, and though the room was lovely, I wanted the room I had stayed on before, so we arranged an upgrade to the top floor jr suite. It has a private entrance outside of where the elevator drops you. We had a large sitting area with a table and 4 chairs, 2 upholstered chairs for relaxing, a kitchen in an armoire (including: 2 burners, sink, fridge, espresso maker, dishes, stainless, and cups and glasses, and the important wine opener. We had a supremely comfortable king bed with 2 small night tables and lamps which were not good for reading. Since I had a kindle it didn't matter. We got free wi-fi. Angela, our host, was so dear! She gave us directions for all our day trips, dinner suggestions, called for reservations. One evening she told us about this deli in the 'hood and it was fab! They gave us a discount which amounted to a free bottle of the most delicious San giovesse wine! We walked 1 block home and had a feast! Angela also told me about a tiny store a 5 min walk away that had delicious pine nut muffins that were more like Pound cake( awesome with expresso we made daily!)
Our bathroom was lovely an spacious. We had a claw foot tub with a hand held shower. Lovely thick white towels that were replaced daily. As was still and frizzante water in our fridge. The only noise was the occasional motorcycle speeding by and church bells from next door. Great place for friends, romance, reunions, weddings! It's gorgeous.

This was a great place! It was clean and very quiet. You could walk to anywhere within 20 min. The couple that run the residence are very kind and thoughtful and have great recommendations for restaurants. We drove and could park our car there and it was safe and secure since it was gated. Would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Not 'in the middle of the city' but so much better. You get to feel more like a local than...

The house with history. Not too old, but quite enough. The first impression - beautiful and comfortable, with high ceilings and windows with shatters. Everything in a good shape and vintage. Looks like the owners do love the place and take care of it.

Our apartments were quite big. There were a bedroom with a big bathroom and a big kitchen with all necessary stuff. The only thing you should worry about is the floor you can choose. The inserted floors are very noisy (the house is old indeed!), so if you are on the ground floor (as we were) you can hear your neighbours from the first floor. However our neighbours were quiet in the nights and that was not a problem for us.

The host and hostess (Angela) were very nice and pleasant, always ready to help and to advise good places to see, to eat and etc.

The residence is situated at a distance from the centre but you can get to famous Ponto Veccio bridge (city center) by 30 minutes of pleasant walking. At the same time (in our opinion) it's some advantage, there were not too many people and it was very quite for the rest. There is some good osteria in 20 min by walk (San Niccolo). I would highly recommend it (it was in turn recommended to us by Angela).

Our tour guide told us we were staying in the Beverly Hills of Florence and we are convinced she's right after our stay in this beautiful villa. Angela is the most helpful and accommodating owner we've encountered. She mapped out the neighborhood and gave suggestions for restaurants, markets, as well as directions to the heart of Florence. We had a lovely room with kitchenette, beautiful terrace, comfortable bed and huge bathroom. It was the perfect place to unwind after the cacophony that is downtown Florence.

This residence is what I always imagined an Italian villa to be - beautiful garden and the house, highest ceilings I have ever seen, huge rooms, with old furniture. Although located on a busy street, once you close the windows and two sets of timber shutters, it is very quiet at night. Parking is excellent. It is probably the closest you can get to the old town with your own car. You can walk to the centre, or take a bus, very convenient. Shops and a market are in walking distance. We used this stay as an opportunity to cook at home, using the best produce Italia got to offer, a nice break from restaurants. Angela has been very helpful. We would definitely stay at this place again, should we visit Florence.
I noticed other guests made suggestions about re-freshing the decor. It would increase the price and take some character out of the place. I would rather stay in what it is now, a bit dated, but this is Italy for you - everything has been dating there for centuries! This is what we go to Italy for.
