Be sure to work an hour or so into your Florence schedule for this house museum. It gives a great look into the lifestyle of noble Florentines during the 14th century. I have taken many friends there on my annual visits to the city.

A great example of an old Florentine house, the palazzo dates back to XIV century and furnished with art works from that period (In 1951 it was purchased by the Italian state).
The ground floor, the courtyard and the first floor are open to the public . Apparently you can book a timed tour to the upper floors at no extra cost (but I didn't do this cos I forgot!!).
