Owner description: This outdoor museum space is a peaceful place to rest your weary feet after a long day of sight seeing. Admire some of Florence's most iconic original sculptures from Cellini's "Perseus" to Giambologna's "Rape of the Sabines."

There is shade here in the afternoon and it is always very lively. The replica statues are a good way to grt pictures of the art you liked but werent able to take pictures of in the museums. Its also great for people watching. There is lots of good shopping on the near by streets. Its another wonderful square Im sure you will wonder into if you are walking around the city. One tip, do not eat here, go down a street or two. Since they have so many groups come through the square they charge much more for the same thing here.

This was a great experience. I wish I had actually read up on these statues prior to my visit, but I was short of time. So, I was able to look up the stories behind these statues after returning home and now I'm so glad that I got to visit it and take tons of pictures. I only knew that the copy of the David was there not realizing this beautiful museum of amazing statues were also located in this same square.

Everyone must visit this site when in Florence!

That some of this sculpture has been displayed publicly and openly for 500 plus years is quite remarkable. Great work that you can get up nice and close to.

I love this space. A great place to get a free and unrestricted look at some amazing ancient and renaissance sculpture. Perseo is my favorite of the pieces and you will probably recognize its gory awesomeness when you see it.
