Owner description: This outdoor museum space is a peaceful place to rest your weary feet after a long day of sight seeing. Admire some of Florence's most iconic original sculptures from Cellini's "Perseus" to Giambologna's "Rape of the Sabines."

OMG this place is fantastic, an open air art gallery , amazing work by the famous renaissance artists, Michelangelo, Machiavelli to name but a few. My favorite is Perseus, the story behind the casting of this fabulous piece of art is a tale in itself. To be near such fantastic work and not be held back by security is marvelous, amazing, a must see!

“Statues galore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

What a marvelous place! Cellini's Perseus statue is incredible, and the others in the Loggia aren't too bad either. A good place to take a load off one's feet and eat a gelato.

“Unexpected Surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

We came across this incredible gallery (?) On our way to Uffizi. Fabulous photo opps.
Think it would be very crowded in high season. We appreciated some personal space.
A few more information signs in other languages would be welcomed.

“Fanastic open air museum in heart of Florence (Firenze)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

This small open air museum is located on the corner of Piazza della Signoria and just steps away from the world famous Uffizi Gallery. Unlike the Uffizi Gallery, which is massive, filled wall to wall with paintings, art work, statues, with long lines and costly admission fees, Loggia dei Lanzi is free, open air with nothing but sculptures which you can see from all angles, free to take photos of. Since it's open air, it's more like a mini park, so you can go any time, stay as short or long as you'd like. You can sit there and enjoy the views of Piazza della Signoria in front of you, people watch, enjoy something to eat from one of the many locate eateries, or just absorb the atmosphere and surroundings.

It's free, unique, centrally located, and easy to find, so don't miss this.
