Owner description: Acclaimed since 1996 for our great guides and tours, we offer the original, small-group Best of Tuscany tour, as well as wonderful guided tours of Florence, Venice, Rome and the Cinque Terre. Our tours are high-quality, entertaining, informative and fun! We love sharing Italy on a more personal level and with our small group sizes, we refuse to make you feel like a tourist. Our highly-qualified guides are passionate, have a sense of humour and enjoy bringing history to life. They include historians, aristocrats, wine makers, art sleuths, well-known journalists, guide writers, as well as talented artists and authors. What’s more, we are an ASTA approved, fully-licensed tour operator. We promise we are anything but ordinary, and we guarantee we are the Original & Best.

This was our second trip to Florence - we used ArtViva for a general walking tour of the city on our last visit, and decided to use them again to visit the museums. Our tour guide for the Uffizi was Elisabetta, she was terrific. She was extremely passionate and knew so much about each painting or sculpture. Highly recommend her! We also booked a tour to see David. I don't recall the tour guide's name - she was good but not quite as passionate as Elisabetta. Don't miss David - magnificent!

Our tour guide, Cate, proved to be an excellent tour guide. The main part of the tour is the very crowded Uffizi Gallery. Our group was skillfully lead to a series of select masterpieces that told the story of how art developed in the Renaissance. Cate's insightful comments on each painting and her ability to move our group into good vantage points in the midst of the crowds made the experience very enjoyable.

What a wonderfully informative tour. We met our small group outside the offices and met our guide Klaus before a short walk to the Uffizi Gallery. We had a short queue to get in through security but all very smooth considering the amount of people entering. The tour took us through the evolution of the Renaissance which was so interesting and we can now appreciate these great works of art from a more informed perspective. We were then taken into the Vasari Corridor which was a unique and privileged experience (only wish we could have had longer to look at the wonderful works of art). Klaus our guide was extremely informative and made the whole tour a wonderful experience. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Our tour guide was Australian-born Kane whose outlook i loved because being non-Italian can view things impartially as an outsider. Kane knew a lot about Florence and told us so many things. He made sure that we always passed through streets in the shade and took us to places I would never have thought of visiting. His English was of course good and he also knows Italian. We visited so masny place that I can't even list them and the pace of walking was great for me. He gave us hints and tips as well. Kane said that it would make him very happy if he got a good review- so here its is, Kane, an excellent review for you. I hope it makes your day :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Florence! Our guide was very knowledgable, and provided us with a wonderful, and historical view of the city. We had been on a tour in the past, and this was just perfect for our daughter, who had not been to Florence.
