“So glad I took this walking tour in Florence!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014

My husband and I took the glorious day in Florence walking tour that consisted of a thorough 3+ hour walking tour, an Uffizi tour, and an Accademia tour to see Michelangelo's David. It was one of our favorite days on the entire honeymoon (besides seeing Pompeii).

Liz did the first part of the walking tour which was fascinating. I studied abroad in Florence for three months in 2006, but felt like I was there for the first time. Her knowledge of the architecture, history behind the secret wine takeout windows, the grain dispensary, etc. was deep and passionate! Then we saw the Uffizi with Kane--this was great, but that museum is huge so you can't see everything there in the time allotted. Then we had Brenda for the Accademia. She's full of energy and is from Florence which is neat. All in all, a fabulous day in Florence.

"Don't eat gelato from a place whose pistachio gelato looks too green." (Thanks Liz!)

“What an introduction to Florence!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

After reading the reviews of the Artviva Waking Tours, I signed up for "One Glorious Day in Florence". This is really three tours booked at one time. The three tours are: The Original Florence Walk Masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery Tour The Original David Tour - Academia Museum Visit and best of all, they can be spread over a couple of days.
The guides were very knowledgeable and personable. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the first guide's name (!) from the Original Florence Walk. She is an American, from Connecticut, but enthusiastically and thoroughly Italian, having lived there for 18 years. Next was Cate, who took us through the Uffizi Gallery, with grace and flexibility, since the exhibits get moved all over the place! Brenda led us to and through the Academia Museo and I have repeated her stories and interpretation so many times, when describing Michelangelo's David. Because of the Florence Tour, I was able to get tickets to a wonderful concert in the Museo Orsanmichele, an oboe concerto - heavenly!
Thanks for getting me off to a great start and making my first visit to Florence a terrific experience! BTW< skipping the lines IS the best!

Our tour guide, Cate, was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time and learned a lot while exploring the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Highly recommend this tour agency and our tour guide in particular.

“La Dolce Vita, Tuscany Villa Swim and Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

Through Artviva we booked an excellent, fun day for our teenage grandchildren.
Above Florence in a beautiful villa, they swam and we all had a wonderful lunch.
Everything was provided and it was a nice time away from the crowds of Florence.
The views of Florence were spectacular, it was cool and relaxing.
Would recommend this activity, we had the pool and villa to ourselves, a wonderful experience.

“Cinque Terre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

Our family (with girls of 13 and14), booked this one day tour on our visit to Florence. In short we had a fabulous time and this day was a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Stefan, was lots of fun and incredibly knowledgable. The drive to the Cinque Terre was an easy one and the boat trips to each of the villages the perfect way to see them all. Lunch was delicious, the water was beautiful and we couldn't recommend this tour more highly.
