“Good value for money”
Reviewed 25 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The apartment is spacious and extremely well-situated - all the must-see sights of Florence are within easy walking distance, and we appreciated having the very pleasant café /restaurant The Corner literally just around the corner. However, the neighbourhood does come to life quite early in the morning! We found the kitchen equipment and the furnishings and appliances generally quite adequate for our needs, but we would have appreciated some written instructions for the heating, coffee-maker, TV etc. The two flights of stairs to the flat were a bit of a struggle the first time, with luggage, but after that not a problem, even though three of us were over 60. We never met the owner, but he replied very promptly and helpfully to emails before our visit and the key-holder was also easy to contact. We loved our time in Florence and felt that we had good value for money in the flat.

We stayed for 7 days and hd a great time shopping and seeing the city. It was our third time visiting the city. The apt was in a great location close to everything. Since we have seen the
Museums we spent all of our time seeing city and shopping. Its been 12 yrs since our last visit
And much has changed and stayed the same.

“Big space in central location, but check-in was spotty”

The apartment is really in a central location (walking distance to many sites and restaurants in 5-10 mins), but it is in a quiet alley so you don't hear too much noise. It is on the top (third) floor of the building, which keeps things quiet, but it does mean you need to walk up a ton of stairs. The living room is really huge and comes with an ac unit, which was very nice. As you can tell from the pics, the unit has not been renovated, but it suited our needs and the price was decent. The one major issue we had was at check-in. As others have noted, the guy handing check-in is not great. As a result of some miscommunication, we had to wait for about 40 minutes before he showed up. (Neither the owner nor I could reach him during this time.) Apart from that rough start, our stay in this apartment was quite satisfactory.

Great apartment as described. Spacious rooms with air conditioning in Lounge. Very central, but quiet. It was easy to pop 'home' for a rest after long morning sightseeing and then go out again for evening stroll! Easy to book and owner replied promptly to e-mails. Our flight delayed but no trouble accessing flat - Italian contact was there when we arrived.

“Perfect Comfortable Secure Central Florentine Location!”

I booked this accommodation after reading the other Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed! I stayed there with my husband and our daughters, aged 16 and 14. They were pleased to have a bedroom each and the two bathrooms were clean and made travelling with teenaged girls easy! The owner, Matteo, provided many suggestions and was a delight to communicate with. Check-in was easy. The apartment is very convenient- walking distance to everywhere you're likely to want to visit. There are many restaurants close by and our favourite was Caffe Megara, which was handy to buy breakfast if you don't want to use the kitchen. Other convenient things close by include a supermarket, car hire, shops... Security was amazing. We had no worries leaving our passports and valuables here. It was very hot when we travelled and was nice to be able to leave the windows open whilst we slept. There are pedestal fans in the bedrooms as well. (Most houses in Florence are not air conditioned so as to preserve the old facades). The free Wi-Fi was great. The stairs were not really an issue for us (but may be for elderly travellers) and being on an upper level enhanced the security. We would definitely stay here if we returned to Florence and our three nights was not long enough!

“Great apartment in Florence!”
Reviewed 21 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a great stay at Apartment Casa Tacconi and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and very convenient place to stay in Florence.

Everything is just as pictured and described. The owner was very responsive to all communications and was very helpful. Our local contact person was waiting for us at the apartment at the time we had scheduled to give us the key and explain things about the space. Getting access to the apartment went very smoothly.

We were a group of three women so we really appreciated having three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The apartment is very spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable.

The location is really perfect for enjoying Florence. Everything is walking distance!
This is a great choice for a Florence base!

Liked best: The comfort and size of the apartment. Location is also great!
Liked least: We found it difficult to use the washer because there were no directions. We ended up googling directions for the make/model of the washer. I recommend providing some written (multi- lingual) directions.

“Big, comfortable, awesome location - worth finding.”

We stayed here in January, family of 4 including two children 11 & 8. The description and photos are accurate but actually don't to it justice. The rooms are large and two of the bedrooms have heaps of storage. The lounge is big and comfortable, kitchen really functional and two bathrooms, one large one small but both with showers. Security is excellent here, (Batman would struggle to get in) with locks on both entrance door and the most elaborate door bolt system I have ever seen. Nice and warm in winter
Location is awesome. A few minutes walk to everything but the apartment is quite secluded so it is quiet. One thing to note is that is it it is up a few flights of stairs. Worth every step for the quiet, just think of it as exercise after the pasta.
Finally, and really importantly, I found dealing with the owner a pleasure. He is responsive, informative, helpful and whilst not based locally has a network of local people. Everything worked seamlessly but you also need to do reciprocate and communicate. I still remember sending the owner a text, asking the nearest supermarket, and getting a reply within 5 minutes and saving me a lot of time searching.
In summary, I recommend this apartment.
