Handily placed very close to SMN Central train station, this hotel is worth every cent of your money. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and warm at all times.
The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The room, which is large, was very comfortable and clean.

We had a very good time in Florence at Hotel Annabella: wonderful rooms, excellent location, amazing rooftop terrace, friendly staff, great service. A very good stay, this hotel is the best place to visit Florence: don't miss it!

The hotel is magnificent and very easy to find, in an ancient building close to the train station. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, equipped with balcony too. Also, if you want to tan or enjoy the panorama, don't miss the rooftop terrace: it'a gem! The staff is very polite, they will make you at home.

Room Tip: The room close to the rooftop

My wife and I decided to take a long weekend break to visit Florence in Italy.
We were recommended the Annabella Hotel by some friends of ours who visited Florence last year and we were not disappointed.
The Hotel is extremely well situated for easy access to all the wonderful sites Florence has to offer.
The owner of the Hotel Simone was very helpful and helped us organize the site seeing for the week end. We had a cosy room with a terrace and a great view overlooking the City.
We were made to feel at home and look forward to going back to Florence to visit Simone at the Annabella Hotel

We stayed in this hotel a few days ago: Our room was very cozy and clean, with a nice balcony. The staff is very helpful and friendly: we do not understand why some people complained about service, the hotel could be a 4 star instead of 3. Surely we will return there and we'll recommend it to all our friends.

Room Tip: A room with balcony.

We booked this hotel as it was close to the train station. When we arrived there the owner seemed a little flustered that we were a family of 4 and had to put us in the rooms of the hotel Bijou on he same floor. The TV and air con had to share the same power socket, and as we couldn't find the controls for the air con left the TV plugged in and the windows open over night. This turned out to be a mistake as we were attacked by mosquitos during the night. The kids seemed to take the brunt of it as they had bites everywhere.
Apart from that, the room was quite large and had a nice balcony overlooking the street. We were given complimentary internet connection and it worked quite well.

We ate out of the hotel, having out meals on the Via Faenza instead.

Overall, though this hotel was ideally placed from the station and markets held in the via Faenza area, as well as other places that you would go to see.

This hotel was quite possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The hotel was really stingy with toiletries and towels. The hotel wasn't particularly clean, I even saw cockroaches in different parts of the hotel on multiple occasions. The breakfast selection was extremely limited. Despite a lack of furniture in our rooms, we weren't even allowed to sit in the breakfast room when breakfast wasn't being served. The walls were paper thin, so you can even hear whispers in the hallways and other rooms. The elevator is very old, and can barely fit one person with luggage. The wifi is not free either, and like most Italian internet connections, not very good. The receptionists give off the impression that they do not want to help you at all and make it clear that they do not like their jobs.

There are only two positives of this hotel. There is one receptionist who is also a travel agent, and was able to provide us with great prices on train tickets and tips on different attractions in the area. The other is that it is in a great part of Florence, a short walk to the river and to the train station and all other attractions.

In short, this hotel is an okay option for staying one night, arrive late, and leave early. If you are expecting any more than terrible customer service and a terrible hotel experience, look elsewhere.
