This place was wonderful- The service was impeccable. We stayed here as it was close enough to the airport for our eary flight out the next day. I was so worried I would over sleep, not hear the alarm, just hang up after the call, etc. But no worries - they sent someone up to knock on the door! We asked for a 3:45am! They even had a cab waiting at 4:50.
The rooms were clean and well appointed. New and modern- not historical but a great place to stay.
Highly recommend.

Room Tip: The upgraded room was much more spacious than the double with the twin beds. If you are planning on...

The staff and the room were fantastic.
For breakfast, you can order fresh make capuccino,pancakes, omlets, etc...
Before leaving the hotel, after breakfast you can also get coffe to go.
Close to transports and free shuttle at weekends.

We were impressed by the decor of the hotel. Contemporary and yet warm. Service - impeccable. Our friend bought something from the outlet of ferragamo but only realized that one side of the shoe size was wrong upon checking into the hotel. When she sought the help of the front office, we were very impressed with the professionalism of a particular staff, Massimo who followed through the whole incident and ensured that the right side of the shoe was sent to the hotel before our departure for Milan. Kudos to Massimo and to the team at Hilton Garden Inn. And of course not forgetting the mattress, where you can adjust how hard or soft you want it to be. Thumbs up for a good night rest.

I stayed for one night in February 2013. Though the locatioon of the hotel is not great for downtown (you need to get a taxi/bus) the overall feel of the hotel was excellent. Excellent room. Very clean hotel. Very helpful staff in all departments.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are great - 2 big windows, very light.

We stayed two nights at this hotel in February 2013. This was a very nice, comfortable hotel, that despite not being right in the historic center of Florence, was very convenient. The rooms were exceptionally large by European standards and offered free WiFi (some of the most reliable and fast hotel WiFi we encountered in 10 days in Italy), a refrigerator, large closet, comfortable bed, and large bathroom. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff helped out with directions and any assistance we needed. The hotel is a few kilometers from the main attraction area, but is located a very short walk from a bus stop - for $1.50 the bus line 22 takes you right to the center of the city. The hotel sells the tickets at the reception desk and provided instructions and maps regarding bus usage. There is not a whole lot to do around the hotel, so if you are looking for nightlife or expansive shopping, this wouldn't be the place. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this to those looking for a spotless, spacious, and friendly place to stay.

We spent three nights, between Christmas and New Year's. The hotel is beautiful, above and beyond what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn. The room was unusually spacious for Europe, and very comfortable. The staff was gracious. Conveniences included the workout room, the guest laundry, the pantry, a very informative front desk, and stores nearby. The neighborhood is out of the center of Florence, but a short, painless bus or taxi ride away. For us, that works. The breakfast staff went so far as to remember what drinks we each liked, and to get them without being asked when they saw our faces after the first morning. The bar was a pleasant place to sit and chat in the evening, with enjoyable snacks. My only minor complaint is that the hot food on the breakfast buffet was not kept really hot.

We stayed three nights at this hotel after spending three nights in the old section of Florence. We moved out to this hotel because we wanted to spend the weekend exploring hilltop towns, and the location was near the airport and had parking. This appears to be a fairly new hotel. As with other Hilton Garden Inns in Italy, our stay was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the room was large, the bathroom very large (although the door would not close all the way), the bed comfortable, and the room was clean. In addition, most of the staff were helpful and the library in the lobby has several Italy travel books for use by the guests, so we could double check our own resources and planning. The Coop grocery next door is a treasure of great food, we packed a lunch every day with fresh meat, cheese, bread, fruit, and other goodies. We also purchased vacuum sealed cheese (at a great price) to bring home. There is also a nice park next door, a pharmacy nearby, and bus service into central Florence. Roof top exercise room is also very good, with nice views from the windows.

On the negative side, as with all Hilton Garden Inns, the room can be unbearably warm in the winter, and the heat cannot be controlled from the room, so turning it off and opening windows is the only choice. Breakfast was ‘just all right” with problems with how they fix eggs and somewhat limited choices. It is nice that they have coin laundry facilities in the basement, but 5 euro each for a load for wash and dry is a but high, especially when there is a coin laundry not far away. Restaurants in the area are few, and were not good, worst pizza I have ever had in Italy in one, and poor quality pasta in another. I would stick to the coop or head into the older section of Florence for good food. Finally, the housekeeping staff working our floor all smoke, and when they leave the room after cleaning you get the smoke smell from their clothes for a while until the room airs out. The elevators also have a smoke smell, I expect from the housekeeping staff using them to go outside for their smoke and then coming back.

Overall, I probably would stay there again under the same circumstances. I would not stay there if I were just visiting the central part of Florence.
