This hotel is really bad. The service is terrible, It's in an awful location, The receptionists are about as friendly as a punch in the face and the food's really bad too. And don't make the mistake we did and ask the lovely reception people where to go for dinner as they'll send you to a restaurant that is even worse than the worst restaurant you could possibly imagine. We've spent the whole of our stay in florence kicking ourselves for not booking somewhere else.

Having said all that, you do get a free bottle of coke in your minibar and free parking for your 140 euros per night or whatever it is so there you go.....maybe it's not so bad?

Oh yeh...and don't come here if you plan on doing much surfing as it'll cost you 22 euros for online access.

and the maid's don't make the bed properly....they just kind of re tuck in in the sheets and chuck the pillows up to the top of the bed again....

Wonderful business hotel. You have absolutely everything you need there. Especially I would like to say that beds are very comfortable. First we thought that the hotel is too far away from the city centre, but trust me it is not. It is in probably 20-min walking distance, plus Florence is not a big city at all. Wonderful breakfast : )

Oh my goodness gracious, this place is awesome. Hotel is brand new, and the furnishings and fixtures are ridiculously nice. This is the epitome of what modern European design should aim for. I still can't believe how affordable the rooms are for this 4-star hotel. We were so impressed with our stay at AC Firenze that we booked rooms for the next nights at AC Pisa then AC Bologna! You can do no wrong with the AC Hotel chain in Italy. Sadly, there is no AC Hotel in Rome...or we would have definitely stayed there, too.

Lets start with the plus points

Hotel is lovely, modern and clean
Rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay
Minibar with softdrinks and water is free
Short tram ride to the train station
Rooftop area lovely to sit out

Negatives
Service is appalling and staff are not helpful
Air conditioning in room did not go below 20degrees which in a heatwave is not great
Tram stops at train station but another good 10-15 minute walk to centre
Bar area doesn't open during the day for snacks/coffees etc and considering how far away you are from everything isn't ideal
Food is horrible - breakfast was usual run of the mill but nothing nice about it

Definitely wouldn't return and I've been to many hotels in many cities the service lets this down. Not a good experience.

Booked this hotel very late to add a day to our trip to Florence. We had 3 superior rooms which were spacious and very comfortable. The hotel patrons were a mix of tourists and business.
The good - spotlessly clean, nice rooms, great beds, good value (rate includes breakfast, refreshments in mini-bar and parking in secure garage in the basement).
The ok - some staff were very helpful and pleasant, others less so.
The not so good - location, on the edge of the city centre. All our rooms looked out onto a relatively run down part of Florence which wasn't great.
Overall, a nice enough place but if visiting Florence again we'd probably go more central. However, if you want a modern, very clean hotel away from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you.
