This hotel is the antithesis of the large impersonal chain hotels. This hotel has thought of everything and creates an atmosphere of calm and contentment .The rooms are colorful and beautifully designed. There is a lovely sitting room where hot drinks are on tap, with fruit and pastries out throughout the day. You can enjoy a glass of wine and browse the books on the shelves. The staff worked hard to answer all questions, help with plans and bookings and advise us on what to do and see.

We stayed here in March, and cannot speak too highly about this hotel.
When trying to find tale particular not of the BLUE(Blu) number, the system is unique to Venice and Genoa.
The hotel is like staying at a close friends house, nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel very welcome. As you are shown around enjoy the homely feeling and the exception roof terrace views of the city and surrounding areas.Free beverages and cake are available through out the day and the honesty bar is exceptionally very well stocked...... in this environment you cannot fail to be honest.
The accommodation is excellent and extremely clean and well maintained, but if your looking for a traditional stereo type hotel room this may not be for you. Every piece of furniture is from the family and befits the surroundings.
The breakfast is every good, well presented and presents a good variety.
We followed the recommendation of the staff and ate at "TIBERIO TRATTORIA FIRENZE" if you like good Italian food this should not be missed.
Would highly recommend this hotel and will return to enjoy the hospitality again which was in abundance during our memorable visit to Florence.

Room Tip: All rooms are of a similar standard

This hotel is stylish and colorful. I stayed here with my wife and we had a great time. The room was big and very nice, with a very comfortable bed. The hotel has a terrace where you can have a cup of coffee with a wonderful view of Florence. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was included and you can have a snack at all times during the day. The only negative point is that coffee was from an automatic machine and wasn't very good, so we had tea instead.

Very pretty room, well decorated and spacious.
Staff was lovely, breakfast very good and location ideal. Nice open roof terrace.
Lots of attention is given to details, which create a welcoming atmosphere.
We had an executive Florentine style room, which I highly recommend.
If we come back to Florence, we will definitely stay here again.

Our room was excellent, spacious, clean, well furnished and well serviced. The large double bed was very comfortable. The ensuite shower room was perfect, good design and a brilliant shower. All the staff were very nice, friendly and very helpful. The self service breakfast was also excellent with a good range of tasty things to start off the day. The breakfast area itself was very comfortable
wih a very comfortable lounge space adjacent, in which to sit and take coffee or tea and cake at any time day or night - all for no extra charge. If the weather is good as it was for us then go and sit on the rooftop terrace with 360 degree views of the roof tops of Florence, it feels as though you could reach out and touch the Duomo! It is about a 10 minute walk to the busy tourist centre but for that you get quiet streets to return to at the end of the day. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: We had room 4, it looked out to the building on the other side of the road, no view, but it was quie...

Florence is such a beautiful city and where better to discover it than this wonderful little gem in the heart of the city! We had 3 nights here for our anniversary and arrived to find a delicious bottle of wine in our room and a four poster bed! It feels like you are staying in your very own apartment as there are only a few rooms. The staff are so friendly and recommended some brilliant restaurants. Very romantic and well worth staying here if you want somewhere that's slightly unique.

The view from the roof is a must see!

My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip to Florence. We arrived on an evening train and the taxi ride from the station was quick and reasonable. We had a number to call for the maintenance man to let us in. He showed us to our room, gave us instructions for breakfast, and left us to our devices.

Our room was furnished well in bright colors. The bed was fairly comfortable.

In the morning, we had a typical european breakfast with breads, meats, and cheeses, including some sweetbreads. We were greeted and checked in by the manager. She was very helpful for getting us situated on where we were in the city and was helpful to call a cab on our last day after breakfast for the short ride to the car hire.

We were a 10 minute walk from the Duomo and the main sites of Florence. You must see the view from the rooftop, especially at night. You can see the dome of the Duomo and the Cathedral. This view was work the stay al by its self!

This is a charming place for couples or small families. We did have some noise on the first night (a weekend night) from a bar nearby, but other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

We met the owners on our final day and they were very kind and pleasant to speak to. I would recommend this place with no reservations at all and will gladly stay here again on our next visit to Florence.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Harmonious, elegant, and full of light, this Florentine residence is situated on the top floor of a beautiful 19th-century palazzo. The rooms, all uniquely designed and decorated, have walls in soft hues of natural earth and mineral pigments. The curtains and the canopies of the four-poster beds are made out of precious oriental silk, while pure linen from Florence's renowned, artisan fabric manufacturer, Antica Tessitoria Busatti, is used to decorate the breakfast hall and living rooms. The bathrooms are done in Carrara marble or in hand-painted tiles. Perhaps the nicest surprise, however, is the rooftop terrace, from which you will be able to admire Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto's bell tower, the crenellated silhouette of Palazzo Vecchio, and the magnificent bird's eye view of Florence's historic center. ... more   less
