My family and I took a short trip to Florence. We stayed at this bed and breakfast and it was more then we could have asked for. It was very close to the city center just a short 10 min walk and your right next to the duomo. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the staff was super helpful with anything we needed. They even had a deal with a local parking garage for our car.

it's not a 5 star but i think it woths more than enough its price
breackfast accectable,
add a wify to the room should be not so expensive i think,so could be a hint
personal is gently kind ,there is possibility to leave the baggage for the all day after and before the check-in check-out
the worst think is the limit of 50 euro for pay the roomwith card
i recommand because cost few and personal seems to be gently
for 1 or two day could be great

This hotel isn't very far from the centre of Florence, and is only about a ten minute walk from Campo di Marte station, where we arrived. For travellers on a budget it serves its purpose very well - it's clean, the staff are friendly and the rooms are fairly comfortable, if slightly small. The breakfast that was included in the price was also good and quite filling.

The rooms could get quite hot, however, and opening the windows unfortunately allowed mosquitoes to get into the room, which didn't help with sleeping at night. Even with the windows shut, the rooms on the ground floor could also be very noisy with traffic passing by outside.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!! Not a hotel by my standards. Many far better choices in the city. My family and I stayed here on 19 June. We arrived around 9pm and we're told the hotel parking garage was full but it was ok to Park on the street until 8:30am. Our room was on the 1st floor right next to the street. The room was hot and had no AC only a fan was provided. The bathroom was small and disgusting with mold all over the ceiling and hair in the shower. We stepped out for dinner and returned around midnight. As we settled in to try and sleep, the mosquitos and noise from the street were nearly unbearable. None of us got much sleep. At 7:15 am I went out to move my car and found a 41 euro parking ticket on my rental car along with a new dent. I approached the desk and spoke to the manager about the deplorable condition of the room and the parking advice from the night clerk. The manager was not receptive to my complaints and said there was nothing he could do. Another guest was also complaining about her crappy room and demanding a refund. My wife joined in and together the three of us convinced the manager to reduce our rates. In the end we accepted a 50 % discount which still cost us 60 euro for a very substandard room. Plus the cost of the parking ticket. We have been to Florence many times though it's been a few years. We normally stay at Hotel Lorena but we waited too long to book and they were full. Rita needs a lot of help, steer clear if at all possible.

Lovely hotel, located not far from the center and museums. Situated on a quiet street not much noise from here, bus stops right outside the hotel. It is easy to find the hotel when you come to Florence, Bus 6 from the station towards Novelli, and then you off on Niccoli and 100 meters to Rita Major away. we had a lovely room on the ground floor, cozy room with nice bed and large bathroom. Breakfast was super served between 08 and 0930 you get toast - croissants - warm bread - great pot of coffee milk juice and so on, that are included in hotel price each morning. we can only say we were very happy with it, there is a nice little garden in the yard with various plants. about a few blocks away there is a large street market with fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. 500 meters away there is a lot of nice shops in various sizes, it all starts at Borgo la Croce and continue on Via Vincenzo Gioberti definitely a trip worth it. all this is not stated in any Guide to Florence ..... All staff at the hotel were helpful and tried to really help even if they do not perhaps understand the question the first time. our stay was 4 days and definitely a place we would return to again when we are in florence again.

Hotel Rita Major is very successful at doing the opposite of hospitality. The main guy who's doing check-in, breakfasts and stuff is pretty unpleasant and has not make our stay very enjoyable. He rudely advised us that the cantine was not for guests with food after breakfast. Nor was the lounge. If we wanted to have food and drinks, it would be outside, where there is no chairs, no tables and it is 2ºC outside. The rooms were pretty disgusting too and not to mention the low quality of the beds.

It is a bit old, and needs some renovation. The staff can not be more helpful and friendly. It is ten minutes away from the center, and offers a nearby parking for a fair price. Breakfast is served in a nice porch, and if you are not looking for anything luxurious this is your place. We had a room for five (a bit small for so many), but children liked it a lot. I will repeat if I come again to Florence.
