We had a nice stay at this hotel even if the room was normal. The hotel is cute and the breakfast was nice, but when I asked for an extra croissant for my child, the man told me he had to make sure he had enough for the others....The rest was fine, 5 minutes walk to the train station and very nice backyard.

Room Tip: Very hard to get a good connection with wi-fi

very sweet romantic place. in 10 minutes from the touristic center
+ breakfasts are served in a cozy patio downstairs quite good
+ very sweet rooms - white "vintage" bead, large terrace with table and chairs, large enough to dance))
+ old building - really good-looking if not actually modern
+ staff are friendly and speak english
+ very good and affordable restaurant downstairs in the same building (outside the hotel itself). and really great pizza-to-go place around the corner
+ a lot of stuff around the hotel - pizzerias, cafes, shops and malls

- noise from neighbors
- breakfast coffee is HORRIBLE, ask for cocoa
- doors and windows are of the oooold construction and they don't stop neither noise nor cold. it was about 15-19 C outside at day and it was not much warmer inside. I slept in socks). However it is a good point during the heat - the side is northern, it never warms too much
- wifi on reception only
- no parking (although i can't imagine person going to Florence by car - car in toscana doesnt make sence)

Room Tip: ask for the second floor room with terrace!! won't regret

The hotel is nothing to write home about although it is clean and tidy. The rooms are very functional and the staff very hospitable.
Nice but basic breakfast.
Ideally located to all the attractions of Florence and also if you are arriving by car as is almost right on the arterial route around the city.
€15 for overnight parking in a secure garage near by.

Last July I Traveled with my daughter for her sweet 16 to Italy. All the hotels booking were done trough Booking.com (never again). To my surprise only one of the 7 hotels I did book were in good order. I panicked when I had trouble with the first and second hotel so I try to confirm the rest of the hotels I had booked for the next 2 weeks. I sent emails to all of them and the only one not to respond was Rita Major in Florence. I booked then Firenze Plus (great place). The day before the check in date I did received the long waited confirmation email from Rita Major but I already had booked another hotel trying to avoid sleeping on the park benches with my daughter. Even though they did not respond to the last minute and forced me to book something else they had the nerve to charge me the cost of a night. Incompetence and greed are a very bad combination...

My family and I took a short trip to Florence. We stayed at this bed and breakfast and it was more then we could have asked for. It was very close to the city center just a short 10 min walk and your right next to the duomo. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the staff was super helpful with anything we needed. They even had a deal with a local parking garage for our car.

This hotel isn't very far from the centre of Florence, and is only about a ten minute walk from Campo di Marte station, where we arrived. For travellers on a budget it serves its purpose very well - it's clean, the staff are friendly and the rooms are fairly comfortable, if slightly small. The breakfast that was included in the price was also good and quite filling.

The rooms could get quite hot, however, and opening the windows unfortunately allowed mosquitoes to get into the room, which didn't help with sleeping at night. Even with the windows shut, the rooms on the ground floor could also be very noisy with traffic passing by outside.
