The staff is by far the most amazing in all of Italy! We were treated with an amazing room, great food and wine in addition. The rooms are very modern, larger than most and only minutes from downtown Florence.

After a an exhausting few days in Rome we retreated to Florence for a few nights and I had to try out the Eden Rock resort with its stunning location and views of Florence. What a wonderful place.

On our arrival Cecil greeted us, took our luggage and we had to wait a bit for our room to get ready as we were quite early. We sat down by the pool area and were treated to a lovely coffee and espresso. Soon enough we were escorted to our room and Daniele took us inside and showed us all the goodies. It turned out there was a cancellation of one of the bigger suite rooms, so Daniele upgraded us right there for free! After he left us we jumped and giggled around like kids that had just been given a free bag of sweets.

Our room had a balcony which some huge patio doors and windows, so we had a wonderful panorama of Florence in the distance. The rooms are very nicely decorated and modern, with coffee machine, kitchenette, aircon, TV, wifi and all nice and new. If this was a honeymoon this is where I would go.

Breakfast is included and we found this the best so far, good coffee, good selection of ham and cheese, cereals etc. Its the usual continental fare but very nicely done, and the breakfast staff will also cook up some delicious omeletes and eggs for you.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is clean and beautifully presented and has plenty of greenery on the outside. No stress here, you can lie back on the sunbed and enjoy the gorgeous cool Tuscan hills around you.

I would give this place 6/5 if I could, but 5/5 is all tripadvisor will let me do. Please do stay at this lovely hotel, you cannot go wrong here.

PS... some advice for travellers without cars or private transport. If you are coming in from Florence SMN station, the public bus can take you direct to the hotel. Take the 1 from SMN to San Marco Piazza. From San Marco take the 25 to Via Bolognese Nuovo 05.
When going back into town, take the bus from the stop just outside the resort for one stop only, then cross the road and take the next 25 going back into town. Daniele can sell you tickets, but if you want to buy in bulk for a little bit cheaper get them just outside SMN at the ticket/magazine booth.

We spent two nights at Eden Rock hotel and I must say this is the best hotel I ever gone in Italy! The hotel is really marvelous, nice localisation, beautiful view, very confortable hotel. The hotel is almost new, with a lot of confort and amenities, the swimming pool is very nice and well integrate in the environment. The room are quite spacious and with all you can expect from a 4stars hotel. The breakfast is gorgeous, with eggs cooked on order, nice coffee, excellent bread!!!!! This is the best breakfast I had in Italy!!!! Never saw that before. The only weak point will be the lack of the management of the staff, they are ready to help you and happy to do so but they don't seems to be well trained. Otherwhise they are very friendly and helpfull! Be aware that the restaurant is not open in the evening, not possible to have diner inside of the hotel but Florence counts alot of restaurants!I recommand this hotel 200%, go there in confidence, you will not regret it!

Room Tip: We had room 304, view was simply amazing!

We spent 10 nights at Eden Rock Resort and used Firenze as a base to travel around the countryside as well as the city itself. It was fantastico! Not only is it a lovely place to stay with gorgeous views across to Fiesole and towards the city, but the helpfulness and friendliness of the team at Eden Rock is unparalleled. I particularly have to note Daniele who gave great advice and tips on where to go, itineraries and places to eat but was also so patient in showing us the best way to navigate through the streets of Firenze (especially as we drive on the opposite side of the road!). The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable and was a mini home-away-from-home. The property has beautiful gardens and is very well maintained and it was a just a great place to be for the end of what was a wonderful 4 week holiday for us. To top it off, the breakfast room and breakfasts were also delightful and thanks to Sylvia for her beautiful brioches!

Finally, we had the fun of seeing Fiorentina defeat Udinese 5-2 in a Serie A match. Once again, Daniele kindly took us with him to the game and returned us. I am also now the proud owner of a Fiorentina scarf! When ever we visit Firenze again, we would not dream of staying anywhere else.

Wow!! We came to the Eden Rock after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and it was the second stop on our three city tour of Italy with the kids for my wifes 40th Birthday. We had three fantastic nights on the outskirts of Florence which helped us combine the best of Florence during the day and a small taste of Tuscan relaxation in the evening. Firstly our room was absolutely amazing, we were upgraded to the Imperial suite and it was like having our own flat in the Tuscan hill side, the hotel is very modern in decor and offers a truly relaxing, top quality location (we were almost inclined to stay in the hotel instead of visiting the sights!!). The hotel has about 14 rooms but we felt like we were the only one's there and the kids loved a chilly dip in the pool whenever they could. Daniele the manager was fantastically helpful and the whole team from the porter to the breakfast chef offered truly first class customer service. We had contacted the hotel before our arrival and they had pre-booked tickets for the Uffizi and Galleria which saved us a day of queuing. The location, service and quality at this hotel is exceptional and if you a looking for a hotel that offers a bit of tranquility away from the madness that is down town Florence then this surely must be the place. It was a real strain to pull ourselves away after three days to move onto Rome but we will no doubt try to return again for a longer break. Customer service is top priority at the Eden Park and the team should be proud of their achievements in making a visit to the Tuscan hillside a really perfect experience.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Wish we could have stayed longer! Eden Rock is only about a 10 minute journey by taxi from the centre of Florence (be sure to say that it is off Via Bolognese though and NOT in Fiesole, as a few of the taxi drivers were unsure of its location). The setting is just beautiful - right on the mountain with stunning views of Florence and the Duomo. There were other people staying when we were there, but we felt like it was our own little paradise as it was so secluded. The staff were fabulous, especially Daniel - nothing was too much bother, and he even gave us a lift to the bus stop to make sure we knew were we were going, as he was going that way anyway!

We stayed in the Panoramic Suite, and it felt like it was our own apartment. The decor was beautiful, and having the kitchenette and fridge was a great option too. Bed was comfortable, and the view when you opened the front door and the balcony was right in front of you was just stunning.

If we make it back to Florence again in the future, we won't be staying anywhere else!

This was the first hotel we stayed out on a trip to Florence. It is located a bit out of the city center and the address is a small side street, but it is off a major road which most taxis will now where it is. Our driver was great & made sure we were at the right place. The location is set up on a hill overlooking the hillside and into the valley of the center of Florence. So you cannot get to the city center by walking. However, the hotel is located right on a main bus route, so if you are comfortable taking mass transit it is no problem and very affordable.

The man at the front desk was very helpful and generous with his time. I believe his name was Daniele. He gave us the bus schedule and directions on how to use the route. The buses run very much on schedule, but fairly constant during the day. Evening gets a little less, but they do run up to midnight. So you have time to come back to the hotel, freshen for dinner and head back into town for dinner. Taxis are available ,but can be expensive. They also have parking available if you have a car.

Daniele made reservations for us to view the David and for the Uffizi which was great. You want to do this so you have a set time to enter and do not have to wait on lines. He recommended David in the am and Uffizi in the afternoon, less crowds that way.

They have a very nice dining area which we had breakfast the 2nd morning. The first we ordered room service since we wanted to sleep in from jet-lag. Breakfast was included and the food was very good. The dinning room overlooks the pool, which is beautiful, but it was October, so too cold for swimming. I'd like to go back sometime in the summer to enjoy the pool area. They have a bar, but it was not open most of the time since we were off-season.

We also had wireless interment that we used with our laptop which was included in the rate. The room was very spacious and had a separate bedroom with a main room that consisted of a living room with couch and big screen TV, a dinning table and a kitchenette that was hidden by a motorized pull-down screen when not in use. There were a few refreshments in the refrigerator for purchase.

Overall I loved this place and hope to go back some day and spend more time there.
