Whatever you do, don't stay here! No one is ever there to answer your questions. Don't expect your room to be serviced, ever. Our shower was clogged and we couldn't request service because no one picked up the phone or allowed us to leave messages. Free wifi never worked. Refrigerator didn't work. Dirty linens and musty smelling bed, etc. we were assigned a cottage. Terrible place. Will not stay there again and will advise our travel agent to take them off their list.

Room Tip: How disappointing! I am usually skeptical of what other people write about places, but boy, are they right! I totally agree with the comments regarding cleanliness, musty, etc. after reading the comments about these issues in the cottages, I requested a roomin the main facility after the receptionist told us we would be in the cottage. She explained that she had no rooms available in the main hotel but that she would try and move us if the cottage proved unaccomodating. How on earth were wwe going to do that? We tried to call service that night we arrived from our room to alert the that the drain was running very slow in our tub, but no one picked up the phone. We went down to the office in the morning but the office was closed. Every time we tried to call or went to the office no one was there! Our rom was NEVER serviced! Linens were dirty and the place was dark and musty. We were in Florence for three days on a tight schedule. But I found it very weird that no one was there when you needed them. Trust me, I am not picky, but for management to never be present when you need them is unacceptable in my book. So be prepared for no one to be present when hounded them; be prepared for dirty cottages and no service. Internet never, ever worked and the refrigerator never worked either. Do not recommend this place and will advise our travel agent not to Include this place as a possibility to any one in Texas. So disappointed!

Dear Sir or Madame,

I'm sorry to say it but it's totally untrue that no one is here to answer our clients questions.
We are a Residence (not an hotel), our reception is open from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:30pm to 6 pm, we are always happy to give our clients touristic information and suggestions or to book for them tickets for Florence's museums.
If you have an emergency and need to talk to us outside our office hours, there is an emergency mobile number that you can contact any time, and a member of our staff willing to help if you don't know how to connect to our wi fi or adjust your fridge temperature.
The linens comes from a professional laundry that works for leading hotels in Florence, we are sorry to read your complaint about the sheets and wish to apologies for this, the laundry has been informed.
Best regards,

Felt like a mini apartment, a nice change from the hotels we've been staying during the trip. Nice unit with a kitchen and dining area. No kettle in the kitchen, asked the receptionist and she said that kettles are not common in Italy. Receptionist was friendly and also gave us a map of the city. There is a bus stop nearby which take you to the city centre as well as Piazza Michelango for great views. Short walk to Porta Romana and Garden of Boboli.

There is a nice little garden outside the residence. I think the owner stayed at the main residence. You can have wifi access, just need to ask the receptionist and she will pass you a card with login details for a set time period. Towels provided and hairdryer available upon request.

One thing though is the bath/shower screen didn't provide good coverage therefore the bathroom floor got really wet and it wouldn't dry over night. The place felt really damp. We were only there for 2 nights so the dampness was bearable. Other than that, it was pleasant stay.

We stayed at I colli in 2008 on the recomendation of our friend who was a travel agent. We booked our stay for 8 nights and the price was so reasonable we were not expecting much. We arrived to the beautiful villa and were greeted by the owner Carlo whose family has always owned the villa,in fact he was born there! Having never been to Italy it looked like something from a movie. We were taken up to the second floor to our apartment which was filled with beautiful family antiques and artwork. There was a sitting area, bedroom and a kitchenette all for 100..00 us dollars a night and a bathroom of course!Samantha, who is the Manager, and Carlo were so helpful with everything from taxis to museums to restaraunt recomendations. Carlo even gave us a personal tour of Florence one evening and we all went to an incredible dinner. The location can't be beat as you are in the residential part of Florence. It is a 10 minute walk to markets and gelato! A 20 minute walk to the center of the city.It was nice to return every evening to the quiet part of Florence. This July I was blessed enough to return to Florence again. Carlo and Samantha remembered me which I found to be amazing. This time I stayed on the 4th floor and it was beautiful. The view from the window to the top of the hill is breathtaking. The apartment was HUGE and still the same amazing price. If you want to experience Florence like a "local" this is a must stay. I love this villa so much and plan to return MANY more times I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Florence. Thankyou Carlo and Samantha for another incredible stay.

We were on a tour of Italy and after 8 nights of staying in hotel rooms this made a pleasant change. It was only a 9 Euro taxi fare from station and we were given a ground floor apartment and were wowed by the parquet flooring and high ceilings (thankful not to have to pull our heavy luggage up all the stairs!) . It meant that as Florence was so hot we could retreat here, late afternoons, in the air-conditioning to cook up some pasta and drink some Prosecco bought at the supermarket, in peaceful surroundings . We found another square ( Stefano?) to have dinner at that was to the left of Pitti Palace. From the apartment you can follow the road up to Piazalle Michelangelo- a 15 minute walk but very quiet and enjoyable till you reach it (hoards of sellers/tourists!). Reception didn't always explain everything clearly to us, at first, e.g. how to get in through gate, how to turn on gas etc so ask questions when you arrive as they are not always there. It would be great if they hired bikes or had a pool.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor if you have heavy luggage(big staircase to first floor) Not all rooms have proper air conditioning - so if traveling in July/August make sure you request it.

Stayed here using Airmiles. Very spacious apartment with lounge and kitchen all to a good standard. Nice quiet location away from tourist hoardes but only 10 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio. Staff very helpful and friendly and hotel seems very secure.

Rooms are not serviced so towels will have to last duration of stay unless you ask for new ones.
