“A real Palazzo”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

This is the best 4S we've ever stayed (and we have stayed in a lot of them over the past years). The Palazzo is just stunning, the private garden (in the middle of very busy Florence) is absolutely beautiful. The service is flawless; very down to earth, competent & friendly staff. Rooms are as they should be on this level. The best part was sitting outside at night, under a million twinkling stars on the green, sipping at a nice glass of whatever and listening to some fantastic live music. They just dragged the whole Steinway piano on the green…fantastic. No hesitation what so ever, just go.

This is an exceptional hotel - one of the world's finest. We have stayed in many fine hotels, and this is as good as it gets. If you come to Florence, do yourself a favor and indulge yourself with a stay at the Four Seasons.

A true five star experience. From the genuine, friendly greeting at check-in, lovely , huge room loaded with amenities, fabulous lunch on their terrace......WOW, wow, wow. just perfect. for hose concreted that this is not in the center of Florence, they run a frequent shuttle into town and. Back to the hotel. It is a bit of a walk, but that is also doable. The serene luxury oft his place makes all that a trivial concern. Really

Booked at this hotel for two nights. Everything, without exception, from the moment we checked in till we checked out was outstanding. This is by far, the best four seasons hotel I've been to in Europe. Rooms are great, breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the garden is not to be missed. Will definitely be back.

A stay at the Florence Four Seasons is more than a stay in a hotel... it's more like experiencing living in a palace and being treated like royalty. Every inch of the hotel is covered with marble, granite, gold, decorated with statues, art, frescoed walls. The manicured grounds and gardens are equally breathtaking. It was an amazing experience.

Room Tip: Our garden-view room was wonderful.

Once the Palace of the Pope Medici and the Botanical Gardens of Florence, Four Seasons have maintained the palace to its former glory and ensured that each guest takes back with them a piece of Royalty.

The Convent once occupied by the Nuns in the same complex, can be hired as as a whole for special events, as was once hired by an Indian family for a wedding.

The outer layer is a uniquely sympathetic design, fitting as closely and indivisibly to the locale’s individual rhythms as one lover cleaves to another.

Mid-way, there is an interior collection of art and lovingly hand-crafted design whose rich colours and sensuous fabrics soothe and cosset, begging to be stroked and admired.

And then comes the rare jewel within; the soft, intuitive Asian service which lovingly transforms each room, each meal and each pampering treating one into an individual cocoon of utter luxury.

The impeccable service and hospitality of the Four Seasons team ensures that you are cared for the moment you arrive.

Every guest encounters a unique mosaic of feelings, colours, textures and impressions that whisper, infer, suggest, invite, but seldom hector.

The statue of David at the lobby, the grandiose chandeliers, and the comfortable sofas almost forbid you from leaving their side.

The rooms are very large and spacious considering Italy standards - where space is of a huge constraint.

Breakfast is of high quality organic locally sourced and home grown ingredients.

The Michelin Star Restaurant at the Hotel is definitely worth a mention for its authentic Italian Cuisine - a different review for the same.

The Four Seasons Firenze is a safe sanctuary that allows you the space and the time to create a dream vacation – and remember forever - your own first-person impressions of an exceptional destination, a remarkable luxury hotel experience.

Room Tip: Opt for a room in the main building, rather than the Convent.
