“A weekend of luxury in Florence”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

The warm welcome on arrival at this spectacular hotel sets the tone for a weekend of relaxation and pleasure. Ours was a medical conference and everything was perfectly organised. All courses at the conference dinner on Friday night were delicious as was the breakfasts. The lobby areas, bars and restaurants were all decorated in a festive style which made it all the more special. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with a sense of understated luxury. The grounds are vast and give a real sense of peace and tranquility. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Four Seasons.

OK so I know that this is an amazing 5 star hotel but there is no justification for the prices charged for Ironing clothes. The hotel refuses to provide an iron in the room on the justification that it is against Italian law. If this is true there should also be a law against extortion for charging 174 euros to iron 7 items of clothing.

The facilities are amazing and if money is no option its a wonderful hotel.

The Four Seasons Firenze needs to be located in an ugly industrial town or a countryside location with no activities. Placing such a wonderful hotel in a wonderful city is entirely unfair. We stayed as a family in July - a big group, and the reservations and concierge teams were simply awesome in setting up dinners and tours, as well as accommodating different needs within our group. The pool, spa and gardens will make it difficult to leave and see Florence, but if you plan your trip right, you can have the best of both worlds -- a fantastic city and hotel experience. Some of our group stayed in the villa building on Borgo Pinti and others across the gardens in the convent building -- both are equally luxurious. The service is exactly what you expect but rarely get from a true five star hotel. As my title states-- if you're just looking for a bed at night, this hotel is not for you (though the beds are very nice), but if you want to wake-up with the dilemma of how much time you spend in a stunning city or a stunning hotel, the staff at here would be happy to make your life wonderfully difficult!

Room Tip: Don't be afraid of ground floor rooms or rooms near the elevator -- we had the first two rooms o...

I have stayed at several properties operated by Four Seasons both in and outside of the US and this is by far the best. I have never had an experience as indulgent as this. Florence is a beautiful city and staying at the Four Seasons will only add to the experience. The staff knew our name from the time we checked in and greeted us and treated us like VIPs the entire stay. The pool area and gardens are magical, with views of the Duomo. The rooms are extraordinary. Our only concern was that it wasn't in the heart of the city, but we never walked more than 10 minutes to get to any "attraction" in the city. My father in law always told us to stay in the best hotel that we could afford, because it would only add to the experience. If you can afford to stay here, please do, it will not disappoint and you will forever remember your stay in Florence.

This is truly a luxurious hotel just a short walk from the center of town, but far enough to have beautiful grounds and a wonderful pool. After a long day of sightseeing in 90+ degree weather, having a glass of white wine sangria after cooling off in the pool hit the spot. The rooms were very spacious for Italian standards and the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We were treated to many extras because it was our anniversary so if you are traveling on a special occasion let them know when you reserve the room. The lobby level bar is beautifully decorated. Check out the antique chess sets.

Think of everything you would like to experience in the most impactful city on the planet. It is here. Just stroll the property, or relax in your room. Everywhere within this property reminds you that this is no ordinary place. Stunning surroundings and historical importance embrace you with warmth that you feel even before you hit the streets and sights of Florence. You will not soon forget the feeling of this very special place. The staff are second to none and are incomparable on every level. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism.

Room Tip: We had a corner room with a balcony. Magnificent. We did not visit the spa but imagine it has to b...

The Hotel is lovely, and has amazing views. But I did not have a nice time. Me and my husband went to dinner at the hotel´s restaurant. Really expensive and glamourous. And when his dishe came, (it was a pasta) some parts of it were uncooked, and he almost broke his tooth. The chef went to our table to apologize, but the demage was done. You´ll think that maybe it was bad luck, but in the next morning, i orded some eggs for breakfast, and when i took my first bite, there was like 5 hairs on my plate. I almost throuw up. It was really disgusting. The waiter was so embarasting that i almost felt sorry for him. Everyone in the hotel came to apologize, but two in a roll is too much! Ruined my stay.
