Spent our anniversary at this hotel and they went above and beyond to make it special for us. Beautiful rooms with a beautiful view. They greeted us by name and the staff looked genuinely happy to work their and make your experience special. We had dinner in their restaurant. Absolutely fantastic. Expensive, but fantastic. With all of the beautiful Christmas decorations we couldn't have been happier or asked for a better experience.

Room Tip: I can't imagine any of the rooms being bad.

after a very bad experience at the hotel four seasons in milan we left early and went to the four seasons in florence, where my friend and i stayed already regularly durin the last few years.

everything was perfect as ever....the only thing which exceeded our already top experiences at this hotel was the X-mas decoration this year.
i have never ever seen such sumptious and overwhelming beautiful decoration.

beside the very creative approach everything was installed perfectly.
u did not see ONE exposed wire or technical add on... just the beauty of everything.

a part from that everything was just as always... perfect in any sense..
from the greeting of the doorman at our arrival, the friendly welcome by name of all the reception staff, the brisk luggage service.... and of course the impeccably clean and cozy room.
the concierge, the maitre d the chef, (vito) and the bar staff were always very quick and perfect to do all they can to make our stay a momorable one (again.!)

some other hotels (as well in the four seasons family) should really contact the General Manager of the four seasons firenze (mr. Cipollini) how to for and maintain this perfect team!
we travel a lot, and nowhere in the world everything is soo perfect than there.!

This is a first class hotel in every respect. The service is in a league of its own, from the doormen to the Concierge to the people in Room Service to the waiters in the restaurant. Room service will make you what you want and produces a very good result. The same is true for both the informal restaurant and the formal dining room. The Concierge could not be more helpful in suggesting and booking restaurants. The doormen are helpful in getting taxis quickly and efficiently, and are very kind. The facility itself is amazingly beautiful -- the two hotel facilities look onto a spacious private park just blocks from the Duomo, with very old plantings. I stayed in the old palace this time, and it is lovely. The building has been lovingly restored and preserved. Its entry courtyard with magnificent frescoes is very, very special. The location is perfect for getting everywhere quickly. Pricey it is, but worth it for a relaxing respite. Very festive for the holidays.

Room Tip: I had a junior suite 208 in the palace building. It looks onto the park and is very quiet, with a ni...

Our junior suite was immaculate. The staff had prepared the room for our baby's needs. The gardens were gorgeous, with a view of the Doumo. The hotel is within short walking distance to the Accademia. It is a bit further from the Doumo. The Concierge staff was very friendly and set up a wonderful day trip to a Tuscany winery. It was a very nice stay. I recommend hiring a car and driver to see much of Florence's sites since Florence even in October was crowded with lots of pushy people and rude tour guides.

Room Tip: A junior suite is a good choice.

The warm welcome on arrival at this spectacular hotel sets the tone for a weekend of relaxation and pleasure. Ours was a medical conference and everything was perfectly organised. All courses at the conference dinner on Friday night were delicious as was the breakfasts. The lobby areas, bars and restaurants were all decorated in a festive style which made it all the more special. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with a sense of understated luxury. The grounds are vast and give a real sense of peace and tranquility. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Four Seasons.

OK so I know that this is an amazing 5 star hotel but there is no justification for the prices charged for Ironing clothes. The hotel refuses to provide an iron in the room on the justification that it is against Italian law. If this is true there should also be a law against extortion for charging 174 euros to iron 7 items of clothing.

The facilities are amazing and if money is no option its a wonderful hotel.

The Four Seasons Firenze needs to be located in an ugly industrial town or a countryside location with no activities. Placing such a wonderful hotel in a wonderful city is entirely unfair. We stayed as a family in July - a big group, and the reservations and concierge teams were simply awesome in setting up dinners and tours, as well as accommodating different needs within our group. The pool, spa and gardens will make it difficult to leave and see Florence, but if you plan your trip right, you can have the best of both worlds -- a fantastic city and hotel experience. Some of our group stayed in the villa building on Borgo Pinti and others across the gardens in the convent building -- both are equally luxurious. The service is exactly what you expect but rarely get from a true five star hotel. As my title states-- if you're just looking for a bed at night, this hotel is not for you (though the beds are very nice), but if you want to wake-up with the dilemma of how much time you spend in a stunning city or a stunning hotel, the staff at here would be happy to make your life wonderfully difficult!

Room Tip: Don't be afraid of ground floor rooms or rooms near the elevator -- we had the first two rooms o...
