This place really was wonderful and we would recommend it wholeheartedly. It is only a 15 minute bus ride down to Florence and we spent our days at art galleries there, then returned to Fiesole and it's cooler temperature in the early evening. The bus leaves from the Fiesole town square every 20 minutes or so, and the bus stop is literally 8 minutes walk from Le Cannelle. It takes you to St Marco square, minutes from the Academy museum.
Sara was a fantastic host and we felt extremely welcome. She was gracious and warm. A lovely person.

I booked last minute to stay for a wedding. I have to admit, Le Canelle totally exceeded my expectations. Sara, the owner, is full of energy, really friendly and beyond helpful. She really made the stay such a pleasure. The B&B is small, with only a few rooms - I had friends staying so had a chance to look around and they were all spotless. Le Canelle also has AC which is a plus in the Tuscan summer and friends staying at other venues were definately not so lucky. Le Canelle is ideally situated 1 minute from the main square in Fiesole, where buses run every 15 minutes or so into the centre of Florence (20 minutes). I cannot recommend Le Canelle highly enough.

Let me count the ways: Large, beautiful bedrooms that combine 300-year–old majesty with comfortable beds and luxurious, immaculately clean bathrooms. Air conditioning. High-speed internet access. Lavish breakfasts with made-to-order omelets. Location along the main street of the charming hill town of Fiesole with its stunning views. Best of all, Sara Corsi, the friendly, knowledgeable, and ever-helpful owner.

Having been warned that “Florence is expensive,” we were a bit embarrassed, actually, by how modest the charges were, in late May, for our two big bedrooms, one of which included a loft with another bed. Likewise, the local taverns served superb cinghiale and other Tuscan specialties at prices lower than what we pay back home in Minneapolis. The friendly proprietors in the little shops made us feel right at home despite our fractured phrasebook Italian.

The bottom line: The beauty of Fiesole and its ready accessibility by public bus to the sights of Florence will make your stay at Le Cannelle an experience to be treasured forever.

Room Tip: Sarea is very helpful in choosing the right room. The street's in front; a courtyard is in back...

We very recently stayed at Le Cannelle for only 1 night but wish that we had booked a few more nights upon arrival. We were a group of 10 adults dominating the whole house, so I was fortunate enough to see all 5 rooms. Every one of them is beautiful with their own private bathroom and most important, exceptionally clean. Comfortable beds with fine linens and beautifully decorated with fine furnishings as well. You will also enjoy a delicious breakfast in a quaint atmosphere, while being entertained by the charming hostess and proprietor, Sara. The location of Le Cannelle is second to none. You are just a few minutes walk to the piazza in Fiesole where you can catch the bus #7 into Firenze which takes about 20 minutes. After a long, tiring day, you will be very happy to leave busy Firenze and get back to the much quieter and most beautiful hilltop village of Fiesole. The views overlooking Firenze from Fiesole are absolutely spectacular. Both Le Cannelle and Fiesole are little hidden jewels of Italy. Thanks to Sara, our stay with her, even though only 1 night, was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip. We will definitely recommend Le Cannelle to friends and colleagues, and we hope to return there one day for another visit.

We recently stayed at Le Cannelle for 3 nights. We had an attractive, large, quiet, immaculate room at the top of the B and B that was very comfortable. Sara is a fabulous hostess, very accomodating and helpful, with a great sense of humor. She is full of good advice and serves a wonderful breakfast with many choices, including omelettes or stuffed croissant made to order. Le Cannelle is located about a 5 minute walk from the main square of Fiesole, where it is easy to take the bus in and out of central Florence right to the edge of the pedestrian zone and a 10-minute walk from the Duomo. Le Canelle is a special place and great value. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great 5 night stay here while touring northern Italy. Le Cannelle is lovely. Fiesole is a beautiful, quiet town nestled on a Tuscan hillside outside of Florence. The view from the town is lovely into the valley & city of Florence. The number 7 bus runs several times on the hour from San Marco to Fiesole & takes about 20 minutes..... The view on the ride is spectacular! Very nice to be outside of the city & to explore another Tuscan village during our travels. Sara, the owner, is wonderful..... Assists with all aspects of planning your day, directions, reservations, and more. The rooms are lovely, very clean, and breakfast was the best we had during our two weeks in Italy. I would recommend staying here for one night or many! Thank you, Sara!!

My wife and I stayed at Le Cannelle for two nights on our trip through Northern Italy in April of 2012. As you can read in most of the other reviews, Sara is what makes this place truly unique and special. Immediately upon arrival at La Cannelle, Sara welcomes you and makes you feel a part of the family. She is attentive and focused on making your stay a pleasurable and memorable one. The rooms are all very nice. Spacious and quiet. The breakfasts provided by Sara every morning are exceptional, and the transortation into Florence on the #7 bus (drops you at San Marco) is exceptionally convenient. The bus stop is roughly 200 meters from the B&B. Visitors coming in by car for the first time should know that you must first pay to park near the main square and bring your luggage up to the B&B (again, about 200 meters), as there is no drop off point near the front door (too narrow of a road). From there, Sara will direct you to a permament parking facility. The same process needs to be followed in leaving. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Florence.
