Our tour guide, Gabriele Calabrese, recommended we try the cecina (chickpea pizza) here as it was what people in Lucca ate before pizza made its way here from Naples. I had a piece of cecina with cheese, yum! Such a different taste than ordinary pizza... the texture was almost like quiche but the cheese on top was nice and crispy. My friends and I ate outside the tiny restaurant, then continued on to explore the town. So glad we stopped here!
