Owner description: This tower is easily recognizable: it has a leaning tree growing out of its top.

You have to climb to the top because the views of Lucca are spectacular. Not for the faint-hearted. Small trees grow out of the top and provide some shade. It can get overcrowded.

Go late afternoon, before the sun disappears, for a sensational view of the city roof tops. The only downside ? You can't see the tower, from the tower !!!

Kind-of one of those things you have to do in Lucca. Nice little climb up many stairs to capture a gorgeous view of Lucca. Might meet some friends along the way!

After a climb you can see the city from above. The tree's that are on top are a nice bonus. It's 4 euro to enter.

Some reviews say that it is hard to see the whole tower at once, but if you go down the side street just before the tower you get to an open space where you can look up and take a lovely photo of the whole tower, rather than from the street where the entrance is, where you can only see the very top and the trees. It is quite a long climb, and gets very narrow at the top - but it is definitely worth the climb, and the entrance fee is reasonable, although this has to be paid in coins, so make sure you have plenty of change before you visit.
