Domus Romana may be small but the friendly staff and clear explanation more than make up for this. I now understand how the Roman city was laid out, and viewed the streets of Lucca in a different way after my visit. The archaeological site is just one corner of a house and portico - there must be so much more to discover just metres under today's Lucca.
