Giuseppe the owner was there to greet us and was available throughout the holiday, a very nice and helpful man who gave us great advise on the area and also other areas. I especially like the touch that one morning his father, the grand chef, turned up with a freshly baked cake, still warm, for us. And it was delicious.
The villa was a delight, we stayed during the heatwave of that month, very hot, the pool was an absolute god send. At nights the first floor did get quite warm but thankfully the bedrooms in the basement ( a very spacious basement to say the least) were very cool.
I traveled with my wife, mother-in-law, niece and daughter who never had a bad word to say about the villa (which is a minor miracle).
In short, i would highly recommend this villa.
i loved this house and the surrounding area. it was just what i envisioned a tuscan villa would look like. the grounds and house were beautiful and we were surrounded by greenery and olive groves. if you walked down the road a bit you saw the big "sister ' of this villa which was a grand home with larger accommodations. the house was comfortable with all the necessities including cable and wifi (if you are so inclined) we had breakfast at home everyday and if you are lucky Giuseppe's father will bring you one of his wonderful baked goods. it was such a treat. i hope we will be back some day!
