If you wish to stay in the Lucca area, this is an ideal place. Easy travelling by car to Lucca and exploring Northern Tuscany, Barga and others. The accomodation is very good, we stayed in La Stalla, it was really beautiful, so quiet. If two of you want to be alone this is the one, a good rest. The recommended local restaurants are excellent value with beatifully prepared local dishes.
