This is the worst place we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was served in an open fronted plastic gazebo with plastic chairs and tables more resembling a camp site. Breakfast food was left out all day with cats and insects milling around. On our first morning it was raining heavily and we were forced to eat breakfast under an umberella outside, on wet chairs as all of the tables in the gazebo were full, consequently our clothes were saturated. The plastic table outside our bedroom was old and dirty and one of the chairs was completely broken. On our second morning we were woken by the sound of a lawn mower outside our ground floor bedroom window which was also next to the breakfast area! Cheap machine coffee, juice made from mix served in plastic cups, cheap decor. The owner was so increadibly rude and threratenuing when we politely comlained. We felt sorry for the friendly staff having to work there. This is not the standard we had in the other parts of Italy.

Room Tip: Don't ever go there.

Luckily we were wrong!

Don't get me wrong it wasn't terrible, I had quite a spacious bedroom and a well equipped bathroom however my friend paid for a deluxe room and had a bedroom with a little kitchen and a balcony but no wardrobe! The decor was cheap, the staff were really friendly. We didn't have any internet connection at all but apparently this had been knocked out by the bad weather a week before and they were waiting for an engineer to come out.

The location wasn't bad, it took about 6-8 mins to get into Lucca centre but although the road seemed rural, the cars seemed to speed by. A car is needed unless you are happy for a 15 min walk.

It has a really nice pool with sunbeds around, we however we put off when the staff started to clean
the pool whilst our children were in it with a bottle of jif, a bottle of bleach and a sponge - not sure how healthy that is!?

Breakfast was very disappointing. Would I stay there again, no, I would look for something better and I think I could find it for a very similar price.

I was really looking forward to seeing this BB and we had booked 2x rooms as we were a party of 5 travelling together.

The staff except for the owner were lovely and helpful so we were grateful for that but the negatives were as follows:
My superior room had a lovely balcony but no cupboard to hang our clothes we had a kitchenette???
The balcony had no chairs for us to sit on so what was the point of that then?
The beds were hard and the pillow might have had a feather in it if I was lucky. Not comfortable at all.
The bathrooms were tastefully done and clean with plenty of towels so that was nice.
The internet wifi was non existent for the full 2 days we were there.
The breakfast was average.
The children were told off for playing football on the grass surrounding the pool by the owner as he didn't want his grass ruined. A rather unfriendly individual.

Room Tip: I believe the suites are nice but I didn't see one for myself

We stayed 2 nights at the end of a walking holiday and this B&B was a long walk from the station. We were put on the third floor in a room with skylights and no windows. As the door to our room was exposed to the weather it was noticeable that some of the woodwork had warped and there were reasonable sized gaps around the door - we were lucky that it was not cold There was a refrigerator in the room but it wasn't working and the hotel is a good distance from any shops so it was hard to get something to drink. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels. The walk in to Lucca was about 10 minutes (if there are no trains going through), but without footpaths for part of the way. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and the staff serving breakfast were very helpful, especially as we had to leave early. Wifi was very patchy in our room and even downstairs. Medieval decoration was overdone.

We stayed in a downstairs superior room which had big windows and sufficient light. The bed was very comfortable - tiny shower but fine for us anyway. The breakfast was outside in a marquee and was perfectly fine. The internet access was ok. We were not kept awake by noise from other apartments but I did hear people walking around earlier in the evening which would have been noisy if it had continued.

The staff were very helpful and friendly but were busy doing many jobs which is understandable.

Rooms had to be vacated by 10.30 which was a bit early.

We hired biked to cycle around Lucca and the walls from the hotel. The bikes were not very good - no gears or suspension so I would suggest hiring better bikes elsewhere.

The Pool area and grounds were fabulous - plenty of seating areas and umbrellas. There was a pool side bar which was great.

The walk into Lucca was a very easy 10 minutes or so to the walls but Lucca itself is quiet big so there is a lot of walking.

Room Tip: The standard rooms seem to be on top with the tiny windows. There were two rooms near the pool that...

We stayed a week with our two kids and had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful - the pool is perfect for relaxing. Everything is immaculately kept too and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. It's a 15 minute walk from Lucca but bikes are available to hire. The breakfast is good as well. But the best thing is the service. The staff are friendly and very helpful indeed, going to great lengths to getting gluten free breakfast and snacks for our son. We heartily recommend a stay!

I stayed one night and they charged me twice! when I called them up to fix the problem, the manager with awful manners asked me to write them an e-mail that he didn't have time that moment as he was taking care of the breakfast! when I asked for the e-mail address he told me to look in their website! very rude and non helpful for their own mistake! very disappointing!
