For a returning holiday in Italy we wanted to spend time in the beautiful city of Lucca. We came across this property and have to say it's a really nice place. It's in a very good location, with the city walls about a 20 minute walk (or less) away. There's parking outside and for a self catering holiday it's great that there's a big Carrefour supermarket 5 minutes away, and there's a petrol station just up the road, which if you're doing a lot of driving in the area is really handy. The house is quite spacious, well equipped and very clean. There are just a couple of things that might need to be considered by other people, the first being that there is only one toilet and bathroom, there were five of us in our party and it was a bit of an issue at times :-) The other thing is not a criticism of this house, rather a criticism of Italian Ambulances. The house is in a really good location but it must be on a route to the local hospital, all I know is that for some reason Italian Ambulances seem to travel everywhere and at all times with their Sirens screaming constantly, this could be an issue if you're a light sleeper but like I say it's not an issue with the house moreover an issue with Italian emergency vehicles maybe? Overall I liked this house and would use it again, I would definitely recommend it to other people.
