“Good place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014 via mobile

Cheap, friendly and perfect location on the main road from the station to the attractions (tower etc).
This hostel is run by great owners and helpful staff, the only problem is the number of stairs to get up to the place itself (not recommended for heavy luggage).

Pros: The hostel is in the middle of the town, not too far from supermarkets, video games and pool for travelers after a long day

Cons: staff was half the time never at the front desk when you needed them, rooms get way to hot that you have to open up the windows at night and let the mosquitoes in

This place is not recommended for those with heavy luggage - i.e. myself who had 30kg worth that needed to be lugged up too many flights of stairs.

The place itself was great, we got a 5 person room for just the two of us and the toilet was clean and acceptable also. The staff were very nice.

I left my passport there very early morning and couldn't find a way back in as everything locks behind you - by some lock I ended up getting in and waking the person up - who was very accommodating given he was half asleep!

if I was traveling with a budget and a smaller backpack , I'd return.

It is a good place, the location is very good, close to the train station. The rooms was Ok.

The biggest problems are:
1) Some dirty toilets. I used one that was ok, my friend used another that was not ok, It is probably caused by impolite guests.

2) if you need to use the kitchen, for me it was impossible. Is dirty, the kitchen and the stuff. I really cant use it on that conditions.

The staff were really nice when we arrive, but when we were getting out, the other girl was not that nice.

The location on the main shopping strip of Pisa is great. Easy to get to the station and the tower.
When we arrived the receptionist was nice and friendly.
We found out we would be staying at another building about 2 minutes away. At first I was a bit worried about this but once getting there it was fine. Clean rooms bathrooms. The kitchen wasn't great with no bowls plates or spoons etc but we didn't use it anyway. Free wifi aswell is always good.
Would recommend it mainly due to the location being great.

scent of marijuana in the evening, drunk and noisy friends of manager during the night, so-called clean sheets and blankets, with no color, after being washed dozens of times, dirty kitchen and toilet. One thing that protect this place from God's wrath, is it's position in the historical centre of Pisa.

We chose to stay here as we were in Pisa for one night only.

We arrived quite late and as it was nighttime we managed to walk past the inconspicuous door once or twice before finally finding it. If there was a rating for security this place would be 6/5!

The reception people were friendly and told us where we could get a late night feed after checking us in. There is a small common room area with some books and computer to use.

In the day time the receptionist told us of a place that had good gelato, and it wasn't far at all to walk to the Leaning Tower.

Price was pretty good too, and there are plenty of shops nearby. Would recommend this place as it is quite central!
