“Precious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2014

Certainly worth a visit. The main building (Scuola Normale) has scaffolds and is being restored, but the Piazza is charming.

Thought to be the original site of the Roman Forum, served as the central civic square of Medieval Pisa before being remodeled by Vasari as the headquarters of the Knights of St Stephen.

“A lovely breathing space.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2013

This piazza (square) is reached via a number of narrow streets. However, once you're there, you find yourself in a splendid open space surrounded by beautiful buildings.

Will probably be more interesting to see when the reconstructions are finished. Most interesting for architechtual enthusiasts.
