Hotel is dated but location is excellent, right across the tower and the cathedrale. The staff at the reception were very helpful by suggesting places to eat and where to go around pisa, but the rest of the staff is a lot less cooperative.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. This hotel has the beat location for visiting the Pisa tower and whole Piazza Miracoli attractions, cause its right next to it. We had the side view to the tower, room 66.there was a worse WiFi signal in this room but still OK.Clean old hotel, spacey rooms, comfortable beds, air condition and heat available.I have to mention very polite staff.Breakfast in the Italian style...not like the English breakfasts, but you definetly survive for few days....so comparing to a good price and excellent location, I had a great stay there.

Room Tip: Room 66 on 2nd floor has a bit slow wifi

Firstly, the location is perfect. In sight of the tower, virtually next door to it, in fact - technically on the same square. The view from our room (and many others on our side of the building) would have included the tower, were it not for a large tree in an adjacent garden. Pisa is only small and is all within a short walk.
The hotel itself is older - being where it is, that's a good thing; wouldn't want a new building there, it would be very much out of place. Inside the decor is a little worn in some places, but the atmosphere is very friendly indeed. The rooms seem (from glancing around when maids were cleaning) to range from small and maybe in need of decoration (ours) to recently decorated and really lovely. We didn't mind this, as the feel of the place is very Italian and had lots of character - much preferred to an anonymous modern hotel.
The staff were very friendly indeed and quite helpful, with good English but willing to put up with our attempts at Italian with good grace.
The breakfasts were the best out of the three hotels we stayed in on this holiday - fresh croissants and personal service, including freshly made coffee to order.
The wi-fi was also the best - for the techie-minded they had at (multiple) Cisco access points on each floor, meaning an excellent signal. They also had a laptop free for use if you don't have your own device with you.
Very highly recommended - try it for an Italian experience rather than a bland could-be-anywhere hotel!

This hotel has a fantastic location if you want to stay really close to the leaning tower. We were only in Pisa for 24 hours and therefore this location was perfect for us. Unfortunately we could not get a room with view to the tower we were told when we arrived. But it turned out that we had a good view when we leaned out.

This hotel is very well located. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls need painting .
The breakfast is enough to start up the morning. The bed sheets were clean as well as the towels. The bathroom was very small.
The Pisa train station is about 15' by bus or 40' minutes walk from this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 64 has the window to Pisa

We stayed just the one night.

Yes it is an old building - but everything is clean and fresh. The bathroom is small but they do not have the space to make it bigger - the room uses all the space available - the location makes up for size.
The breakfast is excellent, the tea is good - lots of bread and croissants etc.

The front desk is excellent, wifi is fast, taxi and bus stop right outside the door, across the street.

8 seater taxi on a Sunday will cost you 18.00 euro to the airport - it takes about 15 mins to walk from the train station via some pedestrian streets - just ask for directions to the tower.

Lots of cafes and bars within 5 mins walk.

One of our party got lost walking back to the hotel at night - all he had to do was ask a policeman for directions to the tower.

Room Tip: Many ask for a tower view - there are buildings between it and the hotel so I wouldn't get hung...
