Royal Victoria Hotel

It's a big hotel next to the river and you can imagine that it was an important building and hotel 100 years ago. The rooms are really old fashioned and have been renovated a long time ago... Furniture and bathroom are really old and they need urgently to be renovated. The hotel could be a good coulisse for the Shining 2.
The good thing is the centric location.

I used to stay here with my parents when they came to visit me in Pisa (I was a student at the Sant'Anna School). The grandeur of this hotel and the exquisite decor (paintings on the ceiling, furniture, etc) are second to none. Impeccable service, the staff was always cheerful and happy to help. Breakfast was excellent. prime location, close to the Lungarni and all the attractions (in June there is a festival that takes place on the Lungarni, and that's the usual evening stroll for students and locals during the summer).

Highly recommended, can't wait to go back!

Excellent hotel
We stayed their on our first night italy.

This is one beautiful old hotel. Modern it is not but the authenticity and decor adds to the atmosphere.

The public rooms tool you back years and its really what you images your Italian stay to be.

Breakfast was good! Great selection.

Staff very friendly and helpful!

Would defiantly go there again!

If you have a passion for history and ancient architecture this is the place for you. Centrally located right on the Arno River you are within walking distance of absolutely everything, including the Piazza Del Duomo and the leaning tower of Pisa. The Hotel is a unique gem, a treasure trove of antique furniture and architectural details that date back for centuries. Rooms are large but more importantly clean. It is still owned and run by the same family since 1837. The proprietor and staff are friendly, courteous helpful and most hospitable.

Room Tip: View of the Arno River

Having arrived in Pisa, without any reservations or idea where to stay, my friend and I just happened to be lucky enough to have discovered this old world gem on the Arno river!
Enchanting wide marbled stairways and hallways, high ceilings, antiques everywhere, roof top terrace, warm hospitality AND the best sleep we had in 10 days!

Room Tip: All the rooms are cavernous and quiet! We stayed on the second floor facing the river. Pisa is not a...

What a fabulous old hotel! We could look right out of our window onto the Arno. We loved the tall ceilings and the antique furniture. Hotel was clean and pretty and the staff was efficient and friendly. My 11-year-old daughter and I were backpacking around Italy and this hotel was just right for us. It was a short, convenient walk from the train station and centrally located so that we could walk to the leaning tower. Very nice place and we would stay here again!
