It is too bad that there is not much to do in Pisa except visit the Field of Miracles and its famous tower, baptistery and cathedral, because this hotel would be worth staying in for several nights. There was a display of fresh fruit, breads and meats in the evening that were complimentary. The room itself was very large and had a private balcony. Breakfast was extensive and delicious.

The complimentary shuttle to the train station was a nice bonus! (You get that only if you reserve online, otherwise there is a small fee.)

A 1 night visit whilst on route to a wedding. We wanted to see the sights and only had a short time.
Taxi from airport was a bit steep at €16. On returning to the airport the next morning ( to pick up car hire) I discovered the hotel had a free shuttle service.
Good sized ,comfortable bedroom. Friendly, helpful staff.
Breakfast, which was included in our price-I mention this because, more and more, breakfast is becoming an extra on many of the hotel booking websites-was a good spread and plenty of choice.
We were able to walk to the Tower and other sights very easily from the Hotel.
All in all a good, well located hotel

I would like to share my experience. We stayed in this hotel for just two nights on 25th and 26 September. I could not fault them in any way whatsoever. Their professionalism, hospitality and kindness are second to none. The reception staff Marina and Chiara were very professional at the same time very kind. Jiovani in the dining area was extremely kind. My husband was admitted in to hospital and they could not do enough for us. I wish I had stayed in this hotel longer just to enjoy the surroundings of this lovely hotel. The staff made it for us. Three of us enjoyed our stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pisa.

Room Tip: We asked for a 'quiet' room and because we had booked very early we were granted this wish.

Lovely hotel, only stayed one night and was very expensive but breakfast was great and a lovely way to finish our tour of Italy before we flew home. Hotel has excellent wifi in bedrooms, luxury bathroom, tea/coffee making and mini bar (charged) in room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel has a shuttle bus service to airport. This is free if you book via the hotel's own website or €5 per person if booked via others. Breakfast was without doubt the nicest we had while in Italy. They had cooked breakfast with eggs, bacon as well as all the usual continental choices, plenty of fresh fruit and toast, which is not the usual fare in Italy. Although it is expensive it was worth if for just a wee bit of luxury to finish off.

Room Tip: rooms don't have a great view but really how much time will you spend looking out the window?

Stayed three nights here. Comfortable beds, great breakfast choices and easy walk to everything in Pisa. Wifi drops off regularly which means signing in every time you want to use it, bit of a nuisance. Otherwise convenient and comfortable

As we were getting the train to Rome the next morning, we chose the Bologna Hotel as it is just a few blocks from the station. We planned to walk it, but as they have a van service to the airport, we gladly took a short ride to the train station (what with our bags and all).

The staff was very friendly & helpful; our room was pretty roomy, as was the bathroom. Comfy bed, big screen tv, nice decor and a great breakfast buffet; one of the better breakfasts we experienced in Italy. There is a nice shopping street about one block away with all of the Italian/European chain stores, gelato, fro-yo etc.

After staying one night in Pisa, we decided that Pisa kinda gets the short-shrift, tourist-wise. Yes there's the iconic Leaning Tower, which is a sight to behold to be sure, but the rest of the town is very charming. As it's a college town, there is more to it than the usual high-street shops. There are all kinds of little off-the-beaten-path places to explore. We'd like to go back and stay a little longer some time, at the Bologna Hotel of course.

This was our last hotel on a 12 day visit to Italy (Rome, Florence and Pisa) and helped us finish on a high note.
Although the rooms were smallish they were perfectly adequate and clean with water from the mini-bar being provided free. The aircon was very efficient even at low fan speeds. The hotel itself was nicely furnished in a 'Tuscan' style and provided a shuttle service to the station or airport at a nominal cost. The buffet breakfast was adequate although the hot items were always the same (scrambled eggs and some sort of bacon) and there were no plain croissants. In the evening the hotel provided a range of local appetizers free which you could have with an aperitif (not free!) on the sun terrace adjacent to the car park or in the bar.
The hotel is located close to the railway station but on the downside there are not many restaurants close by, or at least ones with outside seating. Pisa is small however and you can walk to the other side of the Arno for better choice although it is a good wee walk to the tower.
Just beware of mossies at night on the terrace and also if the bathroom window is left open - the only ventilation in our bathroom.
Staff were friendly and the hotel had a comfortable relaxed atmosphere and other services are available e.g. free Wi-Fi, bicycle hire. It deserves it's 4 star rating.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the car park and adjacent building of the hotel and was therefore quite quiet. S...
