This hotel has been owned by the same family for over 50 years. Perfect from check in to check out! Room was extremely clean with everything you need for a night's stay. Room even has wireless and complimentary bottles of water. Staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast is included and was good. Hotel owner made us a reservation at a local restaurant which was perfect and we dined outside.
Nice easy walk to the tower in Pisa and through the main streets with lots of shops
Allow the hotel to personally transport you to the airport or train. Couldn't have been any easier.
Thanks for a great last night's stay to end our perfect vacation in Italy. Definitely stay here!

Hotel Bologna as a good location. Is close to the train station (Pisa Centrale), but a little far from Pisa Tower. At night, you have close the Garibaldi Square that is full of people in the restaurants and bars. If you want information of Pisa and restaurants to eat, ask in the reception, the staff is well prepared to give you some tips.
For us, the best restaurants in Pisa were the Spaghetteria Il Bandeirine and Trattoria San Omobono, the two in the area of Garibaldi Square
We stayed in a triple room, a smaller room on the back of the building. It was small for three adults. The best thing was the air conditioning, because it was very hot outside and the bathroom was great.
The breakfast was very complet, with eggs and bacon, juice, bread... You have to be careful to have the breakfast until 10 a.m. , because the staff doesn´t put any more milk at the buffet table after this hour, and the breakfast is until 10h30 a.m. !!
Hotel Bologna as also a great terrace were you can take your breakfast outside or drink a cocktail at night.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. Helpful reception staff -esp the young guy whose name I'm sorry I didn't get. Only thing I didn't like was the coffee but hey it didn't spoil my visit and my husband liked it!

Have just spent a couple of very comfortable nights at The Hotel Bologna. We've stayed there before & would recommend it to anyone spending time in Pisa. The hotel is lovely with fantastic wall murals! Breakfast is great with a hot option as well as all the usual cereals, yogurt, bread, cheese etc. The staff are very helpful. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The shuttle service to the airport is great. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends & fellow travellers.

my sisters,my mother and i have just stayed here for the 2nd time. The rooms are extremley clean and in good decorating order. The staff are really helpful and go out of there way to help you. there is a really nice terrace in the grounds and we asked the waiter if it would be ok to have our breakfast out there. He then went out of his way to help by going and getting trays etc to make it easy for us he even carried it out for us. The towels are very white and soft the sheets were also very white. The shower room is also spotlessly clean towels are changed daily.

This was a perfect hotel for our stay. It was so rustic and charming. The room was nice with window shutters opening right onto the street. The continental breakfast was included in our stay and was really nice. They have a little outdoor area to sit and relax and order drinks. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is about a 15 minute walk. We took the hotel shuttle there for a fee and walked backed.

We stayed for 5 nights in a first floor room in the annexe overlooking the terrace at the rear of the hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, there was no noise from either outside or inside the hotel. The mutilingual staff on the 24 hour reception were friendly and efficient, although we would have preferred to speak more italian. We arrive from the airport in a taxi and left for the airport in the hotel shuttle which is marginally more expensive but so much more convenient and if you are looking after the last half euro perhaps you shouldn't be on hoilday at all. Some reviews have mentioned the poor breakfast but we found it more than adequate and what you would expect in an Italian hotel. The coffee wasn't great but you could order a special coffee if you wanted to. The kettlr in our room decided not to work for some reason but it was replaced within a matter of minutes. If we were to stay in Pisa again I would not bother looking for another hotel. Good location for the station and the Leaning Tower. We had a trip to Florence and a trip to Lucca- the trains are cheap, frequent and quite comfortable- if you are new to Italy don't forget to stamp your ticket in the yellow machines. The Republicca, just around the corner, as many have said is OK to eat but a wonderful meal ( predominantly seafood)can be had at the Vecchio Teatro in Piazza Dante and even an better mealat Antica Trattoria il Campano in Via Cavalca. The latter takes some finding tucked in the corner of a little square and you may have to book but we think it is the best food in Pisa.
