A stone's throw from the tower, which i guess is how it can get away with charging a bomb while not being great.

2 flights of stairs without an elevator to my loft room with a strangely low ceiling. Ancient beds with scratchy old bedspreads and a tiny tv.

Staff were helpful and the bathroom was new at least.

Idk if it is just the room that we got, but our bed consisted of a plastic cot with a thin matress on top. The matress was so short that my husband who is 6ft had to sleep with his feet hanging off the bed almost a foot. I am only 5ft and my feet reached the end of the bed when my head was at the top. The room was also soo narrow that our small bed was right up against the walls which made sleeping even more uncomfortable as u didn't even has space to roll over without hitting a stucco wall and getting covered in stucco dust.

The also don't provide a real free breakfast. What your free breakfast includes is a voucher for 1 cup of tea and 1 crossaint at a cafe down the street. Idk in what world this constitutes a full meal but I was not impressed. At every other hotel we stayed at in Italy (amalfi, naples and rome) our free breakfast included ham cheese more than one crossaint fruit or fruit juice and cereal so I know this is not the norm in Italy and this hotel was being utterly cheap and/or dishonest with their advertisement that their rate included a free breakfast.

They also say that eating is forbidden in the room, but they don't have any cafe facilities on site where you can eat. But they do provide a mini fridge In the room so I was a little confused.

Despite the negatives of the bed size and lack of a real breakfast, I must say, the staff is nice and helpful, the room is clean, and it's in a great location only a 5min walk from the leaning tower of Pisa,

Room tip: Make sure u see the beds In your room before you agree to take it.

Casa San Tommaso in Pisa is very central and close to the Tower. It's very clean and the staff ok.Our room was on the 1st floor up some stairs. It comes with breakfast and you are given a voucher and go just round the corner at Cafe San Domenico where you can take a croissant and cappuccino. It's very easy to go by bus from Pisa airport and stop at Piazza dei Miracoli and then there's a 5 minute walk passing next to the tower and continue straight where you find the signs. We spent 2 nights there and everything was ok.Pisa is not just the tower but it's lovely near the Arno and Piazza dei Cavalieri. We enjoyed every minute!

The hotel is located 3 minutes from the tower. The rooms are a little small, but is perfect for nice short trips. A very clean hotel. We had a great time in Pisa and enjoyed very much. The breakfast isn't in the hotel, it's in a cafe next to the hotel. But it's absolutely nice to have a tower view breakfast.

A last minute booking (less than two days ahead) through Bookings.com then excellent communications direct with the hotel. We had a second floor room with a low ceiling, and a high (and small) window, but it was fine for one night and the wi-fi worked perfectly in the room despite being some distance from the Reception area. Breakfast is not taken in the hotel but in the Bar San Domenico around the corner, which we rather enjoyed. The room price (€62.00) only included a coffee and pastry but we thought that was reasonable. Great location, nice staff, clean rooms, and we'd definitely return, although maybe not to the Second Floor if staying for more than one night.

Room tip: Try to avoid the Second (Third to US travellers!) Floor if possible,
