It's a small but very cosy restaurant/bar. The decoration is very traditional and you can also see the owner/cooker prepare the food in front of you. We ordered a Toscana plate and a plate of chef's recommendation. Both contain three or four kinds of bacon, cheese, salami, etc. All of them taste so good that I wanted to have a full plate of each kind! The highlight in my view is the (goat) cheese with walnut and honey, which is very special. When we sat down indoors, the room is quickly crowded. So, good luck! :)

We came based on the reviews to find the number one place during our three night stay. I chose a sandwich with salami, cheese & sundried tomatoes which was fantastic. Such a cosy and traditional place to eat lunch with locals & tourist, our sandwiches were €5.50 each.

Easy to find down the road from the leaning tower, in a small square....after walking past touristy pizza places.
Tiny, quaint, fresh products, and incredibly inexpensive.
We had a delicious platter of Tuscan meats and cheese, washed down with excellent help-yourself Chianti classico! Brilliant lunch!
Only negative - would have liked a wine glass rather than a thin plastic tumbler....

It's difficult to give 5 appreciation points to a sandwich bar : you can't compare a sandwich bar with a real restaurant. Although they deserves it! This is a very good place to have a break and order the best breads in Pisa for a fair price (3,5-5,0 euro). Maybe there is ONE rival in Tuscany : All'Antico Vinaio in Firenze ?
There are 4 small tables inside where you can take your lunch with a glass of wine or go outside where you can find a few benches on the square.
You can trust all other positive reviews.
