The place itself is quite nice, rooms are clean and of decent size. We liked the breakfast and the restaurant food was edible (we had dinner there once). Some of the reviews here complained about the location - you need to walk through an underpass to get to the main attractions, but it's really not that bad. Sure, you are walking next to the road, but it's a short walk and no one is hanging out under the bridge, so it's quite safe.

The two strangest things about this hotel were internet and shuttle, both of which the hotel claims to have, but really does not. Internet (either through wifi or cable) is worse than dialup - it took us a dozen retries to finally load the CNN page. It's essentially unusable. The lady at the front desk blamed it on everyone at the hotel using the internet at the same time and on general slowness of Italian internet, which made me laugh as this was the only place during our 2-week trip in Italy where internet was slow. The story with the shuttle is similar. They claim that they have it (we did see a parked minivan) but when we came down and asked to be taken to the airport next day, the guy at the front desk looked at us as if we were were crazy: "There is no shuttle tomorrow morning, it will only be available in the afternoon". We had to take a taxi.

Not a bad hotel and the staff is lovely. Rooms are adequate with good size bathroom, but look a little tied around the edges. Public areas are lovely but be aware of sitting outside at night and mosquitoes in September! The hotel has lovely staff, who seemed always keen to help. Little way out of the main tourist area, it will take about 15 min walk to the main tourist attractions. Well worth having a walk through the rest of Pisa, which is also lovely.

Room Tip: there is a railway to the west end of the hotel, so try and get a room the other side

I have only positive comments about this hotel. The staff were all very pleasant, from front desk to breakfast staff to cleaners. The room was simple, but very comfortable. Being in the front, it was a bit noisy.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back. I was in the front and woke up a few times with the noise from the street.

This hotel was first class: the staff were very friendly and attentive. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the food excellent.

However, I would advise that one would need a car as the walk into town is a little awkward if one has mobility problems which I do. It was a little further out of town than we thought. We spent the day in town but came back to the hotel in the evenings for dinner [superb] and spent the evening on the patio soaking up the last of the sun.

The beds are huge and very comfortable and the water in the showers constantly hot; the air con is efficient and quiet and the double glazing kept out the noise of the railway

We felt very welcome in this hotel and, should we return to Pisa would use it again.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back.

The hotel is modern, clean, well enough located (10 min walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli), the breakfast is good. The hotel has a parking included in the price.

The internet connection, however, is not adequate. In theory there is a wifi in the lobby and a wired connection in the rooms. The lobby wifi was really slow, the wired in my room did not work. I told the concierge about the problem each morning in the 3 days I have been there; the reply was always very kind but no one came in the room to try to fix the problem.
