Just what we needed

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 29 Mar 2017via mobile
This hotel is very close to a train station - Pisa S. Rossore and a bus station. Travelling from the airport to this hotel is around 10min and cost €1.20... the hotel is also located 5 min walk from the leaning tower. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The cleanness of the room was great.

With the cost of the room I was no expecting the world.

Good location in terms to 15 minute walk from Piazza dei Miracoli however if you have a front room in the night you will feel like your sleeping in between a motorway and a train track. Trains run as early from 4am and are very regular! So noisy ! Not a peaceful night sleep. Rooms not soundproof at all. You could even hear the room next door going to the toilet.

Air conditioning did not work - room like an oven. In summer imagine would be hellish.

Wifi only works in communal area

Average breakfast

Very clean - best attribute to the hotel

Close to the aiport (less than 10euros)

But the worst point of the hotel was the VERY rude man on reception. From our arrival he put a sour taste in our mouth. So rude. Unapproachable and completely unhelpful. The two ladies on reception were a breath of fresh air in comparison and the complete opposite but he was not a good front of house host.

All in all - for one night was fine. Would not stay any longer

This is a place to retreat to after a busy saunter around Pisa. Not too far from the airport, walking distance to all the sites and sights, it's a relatively inexpensive mid-class hotel. We didn't use the restaurant, except for breakfast which was excellent. We stayed at the Bonanno for just one night, before getting the hire car and heading deeper into Tuscany.

Booked for two nights , I chose this hotel as it's close to the leaning tower . It's classed as four star , unfortunately the very tired decor and room where a let down so I would only say a 3 for now .
My bed was rock hard with two small flat as a pancake pillars. The bathroom was awful , the bath has staining from the taps and a big chip in it . The toilet was crammed between the sink which was rather awkward , and the paint work was dirty and marked .
Now this aside the staff I could not fault , exceptional service from the receptionist to the bar staff to the maids . Clean sheets everyday .
The roof top terrace is fab with a perfect view of the tower , no doubt the best in Pisa . You also get (at least I did ) free snacks with your drinks and lovely olives .
Breakfast was well nothing special typical continental .
They are slowly upgrading the rooms , but this needs to be sped up , as it's stuck in the 80s .
Would I go back yes indeed but I would insist on a newly refurbished room .
And yes I loved Pisa and it's streets and cafes etc , very peaceful apart from the typical street seller (selfie sticks and brollys) .

stayed her in March on a british airways break , nice hotel , lovely breakfast that was far better than we have ever had in Italy b 4 . A little away from the main square but right near a local train station. BEWARE of imigrant pick pockets they are everywhere, we both had back packs opened while out in the square area, lucily nothing stolen.
