Lovely restaurant, service was immaculate and the best food we had in San Gimignano. Only problem was that it was one of the last restaurants we visited and so did not have time to return and sample some of the other offerings on the menu. A table by the window with the view would complete a fabulous evening.

We went here based on reviews and it was a pleasant experience if not the best in our opinion in S.G.
Sadly it was raining outside which meant the view was a bit lost but the food was good and the service was efficient.
I don't know if they have an ant problem but there were ants on the table and on us too which was a bit of a distraction.
That aside, a nice experience but not sure if we'd go back.

We stumbled upon this gem one rainy evening walking through San Gimignano. The place is not large but we were lucky to get a table, others after us had a wait. We did not want anything to heavy so we ordered a small salad, and melted cheese salad and a plate of assorted cheeses to share. We also had two glasses of wine and some delicious bread, focaccia and the traditional Tuscan salt free bread. We ended the meal with cappuccino and tiramisu. The meal was about fifty euros. The wait staff was wonderful and spoke English well. Although we got a table by the door, there is a large picture window at the far end of the restaurant. (I think you need to reserve a table by the window.)

This was a restaurant recommended by our hotel and we were lucky to get a table without a reservation. It is situated very close to the south gate and at the back the restaurant there are panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. Unfortunately this area was full so recommend you book in advance to sit in this area.
From the moment we arrived the staff made you feel that little bit special and were very friendly and helpful on our meal choices. Our meals were very tasty. When we were finished there was no hurry for us to leave and it was nice to be treated to a glass of Lemoncello

Insalata Capresi to start, with a crisp Pinot Grigio, then mouthwatering flavours of thin beef slices with pear, pecorini cheese, sundried tomatoes and truffles coupled with a simple green salad. To follow, grilled Lamb chops or Lemon & Rosemary marinaded cockerel with a superb 2010 Barolo from Oddero. To finish, panacotta with fresh strawberries or cream peaches and custard with ginger and almond wafers. Coffee & Limoncella to end a perfect feast in a perfect setting. The pearl in San Gimignano. We're going back on our last night in Tuscany!
