“Mangia bene!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed our food and experience here during our month's stay in Tuscany, that we returned twice, bringing friends and family to enjoy the Chianti risotto and the butternut ravioli. The outside tables are a little too cozy, but at a late lunch we had plenty of room to spread out. Extensive wine list, but the vino della casa was delicious and affordable.

“Great lunch stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2013

A small vaulted room with around a 5-6 tables. It would be an ideal location to spend a romantic evening or with a small group of friends for either wine or bruschetta. The owners are very welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. This is a good option for a light lunch and some local wine without being too expensive. Service is friendly and reasonably quick
They offer a good selection of wines, by the bottle or glass. GREAT BRUSCHETTA

“Great Bruschetteria”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2011

Lovely place for a snack type meal - but beware the portions are huge (we ordered three between two of us as it was for our main meal, despite the waiter's protests - and struggled to finish them). The waiter was very friendly, and the bar charming.

We liked it so much we went back for a drink later. The place is very quaint - in an alley in the walls. It is a small place with some outdoor seating.

“Ok for a snack and a glass of vernacchia”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2010

This roomy and attractive taverna with a few seats outside along the old walls is good option for a light lunch and some local wine without feeling too touristy or expensive. Service is affable and reasonably quick and what limited food they offer is fine. But San Gimi is one of those places you go to only once.......unlike Siena !

“Good lunch stop - but beware the prices”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2010

As we are two vegetarians, we are apt to get bored with pizza and pasta. And with 90 different types of bruschetta, this looked to offer a good alternative and as there were seats outside, a nice stop on our walk around the town. The waiter was friendly and helpful, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered one bruschetta to share, which was large and featured a nice selection of toppings. We also shared a cheese plate, which offered a good selection of pecorino. I had one of the nicest red wines from the area (unfortunately I failed to find the Santa Croce vineyard to buy any more) But these two plates, with a glass of wine each and one small bottle of water cost £31! A bit much for a quick bite!
