“Great food! Not to be missed!”
Reviewed 5 August 2012

We read about this restaurant on different websites and weren't disappointed!
The products the restaurant use are simple, fresh, and highlighted.
Nothing is overdone and yet the quality is very high.
The atmosphere is wonderful, perfect blend of elegant and welcoming.
The service was great, and we were very please by little details like splitting a dish for one in two immaculately presented and a nice free taste of tartuffo even though we didn't order dessert.
The dishes with white truffles are to die for.
We highly recommend this place! Great value too.
It was great to find such a genuine place in a touristy area.

“good but not our favorite”
Reviewed 4 August 2012

Good quality but not our favorite. We preferred Il Trovatore. However, we decided not to order dessert and they brought us the tiramisu anyway because it is homemade and they said we had to try it. They were right. It was the best we've ever had.

“What a meal!”
Reviewed 3 August 2012

We had the most amazing dinner. The food was fantastic - the truffles to die for! And the wine amazing too. The service was also outstanding - the best evening we have had in Italy since the start or our tour a few weeks back! Highly recommend this restaurant!

“A rare and wonderful experience”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

Although the food looked almost too good to eat, we are glad we did. Amazing pasta, truffles--actually everything, served in a beautiful setting by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would love to go back!

“The best in San Gimignano”
Reviewed 1 August 2012

In our five days in San Gimignano, we found this was the best restaurant in town. Booking is essential!

The lovely outdoor garden area adds to a romantic setting, and if you can get the table in the far back to the left as you enter, that's the most secluded table.

The service was of the friendliest and quickest in our trip around Italy, and the sommelier was super friendly and helpful as we were making our wine choices. We had some delicious truffle dishes and wild boar. The highlight of the meal though, was the tiramisu. THE BEST I've ever tasted! The portion is quite large, and we decided to share it, but we could easily have had one each. Not too sweet, perfect consistency, super yummy. The wine recommendations were very good, although we were disappointed to find that there was no house wine, as we like to choose this option when travelling in countries known for their reputable wine. We also had some great grappa - according to my boyfriend; I thought grappa was crap until I had this here - and I had a glass of beautiful vin santo - on the house! Slightly pricey, but definitely worth it.

If we return to San Gimignano, we'd be sure to have several meals here!!
