Owner description: This is the town of San Gimignano, re-created in miniature, as it appeared in medieval times. It is accompanied by historical dioramas and a fascinaating timeline of the town's history.A new and exciting activity through the streets of the medieval town, solving puzzles, riddles and pitfalls. The protagonists will receive a kit that includes a map of the city as it was in the 1300s, a pen and a 14 page booklet where they will find not only the riddles for the hunt but also detailed explanations on all the towers that still exist today,on the 4 “Contrade” or neighborhoods and the most important families of that period. The treasure hunt is available in Italian, English and French.

Outstanding recreation of the Medieval Town, well explained by the staff. A must to visit while visiting San Geminiano

You don't need to spend more than 20 minutes there but you should go see this model of San Gimignano in 1300: it gives an overview of what the city looked like. Entrance is free.

We visited the San Gimignano 1300 without doing the treasure hunt and still found the miniature model fascinating. It's fun to get up close and test out different angles with a camera. Also the employees were more than willing to stand with us and answer our questions (they spoke English, Italian and French) about the history and the 72 towers that used to stand in the city. We didn't sign up for the tour, but left a donation since this visit was included in the complete Civic Museum visit ticket (only €7.50) which gives you access to up to five different munipal museums, including the Big Tower (Torre Grossa).

I have searched for geocache, which brought me to the bottom part of city walls. Most tourists do not go here, therefore very quiet place plus superb views of all towers.
