We had an amazing stay at Agriturismo La Lucciolaia. The view is spectacular and we took the most beautiful pictures during our visit. This was our first trip to Italy, and our first stay at an agriturismo. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone. This property is top notch, and the location is ideal. The staff could not be nicer. Christina is very knowledgeable and helpful. The chefs are extremely talented. Definitely make dinner reservations here, you will be extremely pleased.

When Christina showed us to our room, we opened up one of the windows and shutters and it looked out to St Gimignano, just a couple of miles in the distance. It was just breathtaking and didn't seem real...it seriously looked like a storybook.

We chose this Agriturismo for the leg of our trip to explore San Gimignano, Volterra, and Sienna and it worked out wonderfully. We wanted one location so we didn't have to keep packing up. It was comfortable, very clean, and top notch. They also have a winery, which is right up the street. Perfectly convenient as we wanted to incorporate a wine tour into our trip. Christina gave us a few suggestions as well for a couple of non touristy towns to stop in along our travels in the region that may get overlooked. Monteriggioni is the cutest little town, we fell in love with it.

We stayed here for 4 days, had an excellent time, dinner at the Agriturismo is excellent. We can't say enough about the Chef and dinning room staff, they are great. Christinia at front desk is very nice and extrememly helpful. Everyone at La Lucciolaia is very nice. We made a big mistake and mange to check out leaving some valuable in the room. We called and housekeeping had found them and turned them in to the office. We were only in Florence so we drove back to there and retrieved them.

It is located very well in the center of Tuscany and you can drive to many small and nice villages, even to Florence. The area is beautiful. A good GPS or follow directions that they provide and you will have a great vacation. Enjoy it, we did !! Oh, only negative, they do have a washing machine, but no drier.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing San Gimignanao.

We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in Italy. Tuscany was the second leg of our trip and Agriturismo La Lucciolaia was the highlight. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Josephina and knew right away that we would have a hard time leaving this magical place. Christina and Josephina and the rest of the staff were great, always ready to accommodate us in anyway possible. We stayed in a corner room, the Albicocca which featured an amazing view of San Gigmignano from our bed. The food was plentiful and excellent, eaten outdoors while soaking in the amazing tuscan countryside. The wine (Sottobosco) and the fresh figs served with our snacks in the afternoon was a great treat. 1 hour away from Florence and close by to many medieval towns, La Lucciolaia was a great place to call home when we came back from a day of visiting Tuscany. Definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back.

Take a look at all of the reviews for La Lucciolaia... I'm not sure what else can be said... but I'll say it anyway, because La Lucciolaia is that GOOD: We had a wonderful time and stay at La Lucciolaia; enjoyed the relaxing surroundings and the countryside setting... beautiful; the accommodations were excellent and it made you feel as if it were your own home/villa; the entire staff were warm and friendly, anxious to make our stay as comfortable as possible and anxious to fulfill all of our personal requests and /or questions; and lastly the food.... best we had during our entire multi week visit to Italy. Would return in a heartbeat.... and wish I could make it happen NOW. You won't be disappointed in any manner by staying at La Lucciolaia.

Part of a 7 day trip last week in September we stayed for 2 nights at this peaceful location, quiet but that's what we were looking for. A stunning location with fantastic views. Helpful staff at breakfast and evening meal. Evening meal served on the patio with wine produced at there own vineyard, great value at €35 per head, small and intimate but loved our stay. Relax by the pool in the afternoon after visiting local towns and don't forget you can get a glass of fab wine to make the afternoon just perfect. Christina was charming and would help with anything that she was able o do, our only regret is that we never got to the vineyard to do some sampling but time was not on our side. I hope that we may return again for a short break. Rooms were well furnished and impeccably clean.

Room Tip: Take a chance and move away from chain hotels!

We were 4 couples who met up here for 5 nights. It was absolutely lovely! Amazing views of the countryside, close to San Gimignano. Christina was excellent and very accommodating. We took advantage of the dinner on two occasions. The food and wine were excellent and the staff fun! Breakfast was generous and a pleasure to be served every morning. We also took the wine tour which was excellent. It was clean and we felt we had our own bit of heaven in this lovely part of the world! I would return and also highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We stayed in Lillian which was the corner with great views and a cross breeze. Loved the Lilac colo...

This place is all that you could wish for when staying in an agriturismo. Christina gave us a warm welcome when we arrived for a 3 nights stay. Lovely rooms, good service, great pool, great views on san gimignano and the wineyards and very tastefull breakfast and diner served with nice wines from the own winehouse. After our 3 nights we went to Palagetto di Sotto, really nice as well and the same words as above. Closer to san gimignano and a little bit more noise from the nearby road. Samantha gives a warm welcome aswell and we really loved staying in both houses. Ciao Bianca & Mike
