Overall a nice clean place about 5 mins from town, surrounded by olive trees and vines. Great breakfast, great views, big clean room. Inn keeper gave us an upgrade which had a terrace in the rear, with a beautiful view.

Hotel Pescille was located in the perfect location in Tuscany. It was very clean and the staff was so wonderful and friendly! The breakfast was wonderful and the views were amazing. What a GREAT place to stay..one that I hope to go and visit again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces San Gimignano, for the best balcony views!

Nestled in the countryside of San Gimignano and surrounded by vineyards, this hotel was the perfect way to start off our weeklong stay in Tuscany. For those willing to pay a little extra, some rooms have balconies overlooking the town of San Gimignano -- beautiful view! The hotel grounds were really nice with lounge chairs set up all around the garden area and a large breakfast area on an outdoor patio. The cozy lobby area includes a small library with books, and brochures and information about the Chianti area. Rooms are simple and basic--no extra frills, but clean and comfortable (and with AC--important for the summer months!) This hotel is great if you have a car--too far to walk into town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very good value.

Hotel Pescille provided a wonderful base for visiting San G, Siena, Chianti, and Volterra, among other towns in the area. First, the staff / family who run the Hotel are without exception friendly, open and attentive. We did not have a single sour face and we were greated with smiles every morning. The furnishings are very simple, but functional. (Emphasis on simple! Green painted beds, white and wood furniture, simple lamps, white bed linens.) The bathroom was clean and spacious. The views are lovely, the breakfast hearty, and the pool enticing after a hot summer day of touring. We also enjoyed dinner two times at the Hotel. The local wine was crisp and dry, and we could drink without concern since we did not have to drive. The grilled food at dinner was simple but filling (chicken, steak, pork, sausage), and a deal at 15 Euros. With the room and breakfast at 95 Euros, we were thrilled with our stay. It looks like things really fill up later in the summer - there were many rooms not yet in use - and that it would be a pleasant place to bring a family with children. Recommended!

Our family of five stayed here for 2 nights in early July and we loved it. It is comfortable and clean and the owners are very kind and helpful. The hotel is in a former farm, and the decor uses the old farm implements and is very charming. The gardens are so beautiful and peaceful, and look out over the Tuscan countryside, and the pool was clean and refreshing. We LOVED the food; breakfast was delicious and generous, and the evening barbecue on the porch was a highlight of our two weeks in Italy. It is very close to San Gimignano, but it is also around an hour from many great spots like Sienna, Lucca, Pisa, and Florence. You could easily stay here and make day trips around the area, if you have a car. We will go back someday, I am sure of it!

Room Tip: If possible, ask for a room with a door on both sides of the house. The evening breeze is delightful!
