As we drove up the gravel road we were worried what we had booked. However we had the most wonderful 3 days of our holiday at Libbiano. Andrea and Berta were lovely and welcoming and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. We ate there every night as the food was fantastic and a true bonus was the cooking course with Berta and Carlo. What a treat. I would recommend Libbiano to anyone who loves great food and beautiful surroundings. We will return!

Our stay at Casolare was lovely, Berta and Andrea were so delightful; they provided us with fabulous accommodation; excellent home made food; relaxing gardens and excellent service. Casolare is nestled in a beautiful reserve which gave us the opportunity to go walking each morning after breakfast. The location is perfect no more than 15 minutes to San Gimignano. Thank you for making our trip to Tuscany so memorable.

We stayed at this wonderful place back in June for a few days with my wife's sister and husband and were so pleased that we had. After the crowds elsewhere, the isolation was the tonic we needed. We were given the room opposite the pool and were captivated by the landscaped gardens and lawns and the surrounding vineyards. Bertha and Andrea were fabulous hosts and and attended to our requests in a quiet and very friendly way. We ate there most nights and were thrilled by the variety of dishes that were presented to us. We put on weight because of them! Having said it was isolated, 10-15 mins put you in San Gimingnano and the road network to other areas. It seems to be a European thing but we miss our own bar fridge and in room tea and coffee making facilities. A minor thing. We would return here in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: We were pleased we asked for a room away from the main building. There are two other larger rooms in a nearby 13th century building that looked pretty good too. Our room opposite the swimming pool with its own terrace was perfect.

Just back froma a 6 nights stay at this place and what a fantastic time we had there. Andrea and berta was one of the most warm and caring owners we have met.
This is a small b&b some 8 kilometers outside San Gimignano, Tuscany. A really peacful place, no TV:s allowed there :) this was ecaxtly what we were looking for.

It's situated some 4 km from the main road in the Riserva Naturale Castelvechio, a national park. The last leg of the road is a bit challenging because the road is unpawed and uneven. Especially if it has been raining there is likely to be some grooves in the road.

But this all pays when you see the place. Featuring a regular size swimming pool, the surroundings are just beautiful. There's ample room for parking.

And then to the food! Because it's a bit outside S.G it's great that you can have dinner at he place. And it's super!! :) For 28€ you basically get a 4 course dinner that is just perfect. Local Tuscan ingredients (and the herbs from the garden) presented with flair on the plate. The last night we got pannacotta dor dolci (dessert) and that beeing one of my favourite was just perfect! And there's a really nice winelist containing a lot of surrounding wines. Try a Chianti Classico, you wont be dissapointed.
One caveat, the younger children might have a bit of hard time to like the food, mostly because a
i don't think they are used to the cuisine.
Equally good is the breakfast, containing freshfruits, cheese, salami, bread, your choice of coffe, cappucino or what you like, juice, cereal, all presented in the outside eating place. You eat your dinner also outside ( if the weather permits).

There's wifi but in our room (apartment Gialla) it was a little weak. It better nearer the reception.

All in all, Highly recommeded!

Room Tip: Ask for the appartment Gialla, it's detached from the main building and just by the pool. You get a nice patio where you can sit inthe evenings and mornings.

My husband and I have just come back from a break there and you can definitely say you have a "break" from everything else.. Beautiful landscape in the middle of a national reserve, quiet and peaceful..exactly what we needed! In 10-15 minutes by car you are in San Gimignano which is a lovely medieval village!
The pool is very nice and all the garden around very cute and well maintained.
The owners Andrea and Berta are very welcoming people and very friendly!
The food is fantastic:fresh ingredients and homemade!
The rooms are kept in the old Italian country house style which is very characteristic of the area.
We will def go back!
