We visited the workshop after reading a recommendation in a tourist guide and admired the wonderful pieces of art after admiring them for quite a while. Our little son was attracted by the skillful working of a vase by Mr Balducci who gave him a little piece of clay to work on which made him extremely happy. It was most fascinating to watch the process of making an elegant object and to compare it to a finished piece. In the meantime, we found it very difficult to make choice as one piece was more beautiful than the other. Finally we did choose a set of three vases inspired by the towers of San Gimingiano as well as a set of plate and bowel. Using only natural materials, no lead of course, objects with fascinating colours were the result. We were all amazed by wonderful ceramics workshop and we will certainly drop in at our next visit.
