“Better than expected!”

My husband and I stayed in La Capanna for a week in September. We enjoyed everything about our stay: our beautiful apartment with Tuscan decor, old world touches, convenient and comfortable rooms and a view that was unbelievable. Outside our living room was a stone terrace, comfortable chairs and a gorgeous view over the Tuscan countryside. Chiesetta di Santo Pietro is high up on a hill so we could see for miles. And the sunrises over the hills were worth getting up for. The pool and cabanas were so tasteful and comfortable and the view from the pool continued. The grounds are spotless and well-taken care of and the property is very secure. We were greeted by the owner Evo and his wife and they made sure we were comfortable and happy. The location was excellent and we had easy access (with a car) to San Gimignano, Siena, the Chianti wine region, Florence, etc. We will definitely come back to La Capanna at Chiesetta di Santo Pietro!

We stayed at Chiesetta San Pietro in the apartment, Il Portico in June 2013. It is perched on a hilltop with panoramic views across the Tuscan countryside. We were greeted on arrival by the owner, a larger than life character who instantly made us feel welcome. He has a lively personality and a sense of humour coupled with a broad knowledge of the local area. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and beautifully appointed. The owner takes justifiable pride in having sourced Tuscan fittings and furniture. The pool was a welcome sight at the end of a long day and it was wonderful to cool down with a swim and then laze at the poolside gazing at the view. The villa is well placed for seeing a range of big cities and small hilltop villages. We made day trips to Pisa, Volterra, Florence, Monteriggioni and Siena. San Gimignano is within easy reach as is Certaldo whose hilltop old town is not to be missed. We had a most enjoyable holiday and would highly recommend this villa.

We stayed for a week in La Capanna and had a great time. The view from Chieseta di santo pietro is simply amazing and we enjoyed taking our breakfast and meals on the little private terrace. The pool is great and you can enjoy the view while swimming! There is WIFI access from the pool so we spent quiet a bit of time there relaxing. The whole place is very quiet (not near any busy roads). The apartment is nice and roomy. The family is very welcoming and cares about your well being.San Gimignano is very close and we went often either for dinner or just to grab a Gelato. Don't miss "ristorante Latini" nearby that is VERY good.

We stayed here in 2012 and also in August 2013. Both times it was simply perfection. I would say the most beautiful place to stay in Tuscany. We (2 adults and a 5 year old) stayed in Il Portico, a 2 bed apartment on the ground floor, but have been in all 3 apartments. All are equally stunning, very clean, well appointed and full of rustic Tuscan charm. Most days you have the whole place to yourselves. The grounds and the pool are beautifully landscaped and very well maintained. The views are simply stunning. The Mazzoni family (who own it) pop down every few days for an hour or so and are lovely people. You definitely need a car - it is quite remote. The local towns of San Gimignano and Certaldo are a 10 minute drive. Siena is about 50 mins away. Pisa airport just over an hour's drive. Ideal for a couple, or a family with young children - not for teenagers. Trust me, this place is better than it looks in the pictures. We will be going back next year for sure.

Stayed in la capanna recently and couldn't recommend it enough. It was my first time to Tuscany and the views from Chiesseta Di Santo Pietro exceeded my expectations! I jumped out of bed every morning so I could swing open the terrace doors and enjoy breakfast outside to enjoy the view. The pool is beautiful and although shared between 3 apts, we mostly had it to ourselves every day. The apartment is spacious and stylishy decorated with nicely chosen Tuscan pieces and has everything the 2 of us needed! Wifi and all, that worked even at the pool! The Mazzoni family are very friendly and welcoming and really look after this place with love. You defo need a car to stay here but that goes for most places in this region because all the best views and locations are down country lanes amongst the vineyards. On that note, there is a vineyard at the end of the road near this property (5 min walk) that have a nice restaurant which is handy. San Gimignano is about a ten min drive away but the views on the way make it an enjoyable drive. Perfectly located property, just over an hour from Pisa airport, a short drive to Sienna, train station to Florence in poggibonsi is 30 mins drive away. Couldn't recommend it enough! Ciao!

My husband and I stayed here in May for a week. We were looking for a quiet, tranquil spot to get away from it all and this was a perfect choice. We stayed in the Capanna apartment which is on the main floor with a separate entrance and has a private garden area where we could eat outside and enjoy the view. It's furnished in a typical Tuscan style, was very clean and well equipped. The location was right in the hills and private but still very close to the town of San Gimignano where we shopped and had lunch. The check-in was smooth and the staff very friendly. Good value for money. Be sure to note the location because there is another place up the road with a similar name and we almost confused the two.
