Loved our stay here. The castle is beautiful with views all around. The owners are incredibly friendly and gave us a bottle of wine upon our arrival and again on departure. You need a car to stay here, but it's a great base for day trips around Tuscany. If you don't want to go all the way into Siena to eat , there is a little village just a couple minutes away (Ponte A Bozzone) with a pizzeria/osteria called La Piccarda which is great.
Rooms are very spacious. Common area has a kitchen, and sort of a sitting/dining area. The only thing I would have changed is maybe putting some plush chairs in the common area. There is only one. The rest are wooden to go with the table.
We were in Room 1 which had a nice view, but our friends in Room 2 did not have a view. There is a third room upstairs that had been rented out to someone else, so I can't speak for whether there is a view or not.
Kitchen is adequate, and as long as messy people haven't rented the other rooms, is nice to have. Rooms aren't cleaned daily, but we spent 4 nights and had the towels replaced one time, which was no problem for me.
Lots of stairs, so beware if that is a problem for you. But a very nice place and a great break from boring hotels. I would stay again.
