Loved our stay here. The castle is beautiful with views all around. The owners are incredibly friendly and gave us a bottle of wine upon our arrival and again on departure. You need a car to stay here, but it's a great base for day trips around Tuscany. If you don't want to go all the way into Siena to eat , there is a little village just a couple minutes away (Ponte A Bozzone) with a pizzeria/osteria called La Piccarda which is great.

Rooms are very spacious. Common area has a kitchen, and sort of a sitting/dining area. The only thing I would have changed is maybe putting some plush chairs in the common area. There is only one. The rest are wooden to go with the table.

We were in Room 1 which had a nice view, but our friends in Room 2 did not have a view. There is a third room upstairs that had been rented out to someone else, so I can't speak for whether there is a view or not.

Kitchen is adequate, and as long as messy people haven't rented the other rooms, is nice to have. Rooms aren't cleaned daily, but we spent 4 nights and had the towels replaced one time, which was no problem for me.

Lots of stairs, so beware if that is a problem for you. But a very nice place and a great break from boring hotels. I would stay again.

Room Tip: Rm 1 had view, but room 2 bigger & slept 3

This place was awesome. It's incredibly charming little castle. The place has been completely renovated and upgraded and it has all the regular hotel amenities you expect to find.
We actually had booked a place at their other property Agriturismo Malafrasca just down the road, but were initially told they were full and had availability here. The owners are very nice, but unfortunately don't speak ANY english. Their son does speak english if he's around. The owner does speak a little bit of broken french so we managed to communicate well enough with that. When we showed up to Agriturismo Malafrasca to check in they gave us a small glass of their home made wine from the winery they have on the property. It was excellent and we bought a bottle for only 5Euro to bring with us to our room. He then drove us to the castle, only 3-4mins down the road. The room has a private bathroom with a beautiful view of the rolling Tuscan hills. There is a common area and kitchen available as well.
The room even had a small TV and mini fridge with some water, soda and beer priced very cheaply if you wanted to grab one.
While the place was incredibly charming and we loved staying there, there were a few drawback and negative points. We found the toilet had a bit of a smell that came up from it when we turned on the water (the water was perfectly fine however), but we just closed the bathroom door and it was fine, the smell didn't linger either.
A major consideration when staying here is there is no phone and you need a car if staying here. We didn't have a car however which caused us some issues. There is nowhere to eat expect in a neighboring village we had to walk to (only 10mins to walk there) but there are no sidewalks and only a tiny shoulder on a windy road that the cars drive rather fast along.. all the same we made do. We ate at the "fancy" restaurant there and it was one of the best meals we had in Italy.
Next day getting into town was difficult, we had planned on taking the bus (the stop is across the road from the castle), but the buses run very infrequently in the area (only 2-3times a day) and not on Sundays, the day we were trying to take it. Fortunately a very nice Italian man with a British accent who is actually a tour guide in the area happened to be driving by and gave us a lift to Sienna.
I defintely would stay here again, but only if I had a car.
