What a wonderful find! Frederica and Carla are the perfect hosts for this charming farm house b&b situated down a private road in the middle of an olive and fig orchard. Wonderful garden and trellised courtyard. All of the advise regarding restaurants, sites, transportation, spas were extremely helpful. Carla is a wonderful cook and the breakfast of homemade jams, preserves and other treats were amazing! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are very tidy and the rate is very reasonable. The walled city is a short walk or an easy bus ride from the stop at the end of their private road. We took a very easy day trip by bus to Rapolano Terme to enjoy soaking and relaxing in the hot springs/mineral pools of Terme Antica Querciolaia for only 10 euro (remember to bring your own towel). After days of exploring and site-seeing, our feet really appreciated this spa experience! I hope to be able to stay at Podere le vigne again and for a longer stay next time.

It felt like some lovely people (Federica and Carla) invited you to stay at their wonderful country house while you explored the area. We imagined that we were "living the life" and we loved it.
Loved the figs in all their various incarnations!

We were riding around Siena on a Vespa and found this cute B&B just outside the city gates. We had a great time there. They were friendly, it was clean & confortable & the price was right. I'd for sure stay here again. We stayed here 2 nights and took the Vespa to Pienza and Montopulchino, great day trip.

Room Tip: We had a nice room with our own bath.

This is the perfect place to stay to explore the delights of beauriful Siena, (an easy walk or quick bus journey on No 3 or No 54) the surrounding countryside and majestic Tuscan hill towns or cities and then return to the beauty and peace of olive groves, a vine covered terrace and lovely gardens with views of the Tuscan hills. Much as we enjoyed being in Siena we so appreciated this contrast, and found travel without a car very easy. We travelled by train from Pisa and then took a bus to the top of the driveway. Firenze, San Gimignano (visit late afternoon to avoid crowds), Pienza, Montepulciano are all within easy reach by bus, but we enjoyed Siena above all. It lives up to your expectations and is a truly extraordinary place. We had a delightful, spacious room (No 5) in the lovely, old house and met with welcoming kindness and hospitality from Federica and her mother Carla from the moment we arrived until the sad time came for our departure. They provided great tips for restaurants and sightseeing We much enjoyed the delicious breakfasts taken in the garden, and the opportunity to sit on the shady terrace and just totally relax. We can't wait to return and highly recommend a stay at this delightful place. Ciao Federica and Carla and molte grazie.

Federica and Carla are the perfect hosts for this beautiful establishment just outside Siena. Within a few minutes walk or by bus if you prefer you can be at Porta Tufi, from there you can venture into the wonderful city of Siena with breath taking views at every street corner.
Federica and Carla told us lots about the Palio about Siena and about the Contrade. They also lent us a map and told us where to go to see all the beautiful postcard landscapes of the Val D'Orcia and also the city of Pienza.. The day of the Palio our daughter ran the home Palio with Federica's daughters and niece, that was really nice too and made us feel really at home.
Then we went to see the Palio Dell'Assunta on August 16th, when my adopted Contrada Onda won the race, what can I say more? I just want to ring and book again for next year.
Many thanks Federica and Carla, we hope to see you really soon, Martino.

Location is splendid! House is nice and clean, rooms are basic. We stayed here only one night. It is good location and we reached Siena old center on foot. In evening is quite and beautiful to sleep. We understood that we payed 80 eur just because we are in Tuscany, not because we were in top class accommodation. It was not bad at all but 50 eur would be a realistic price. Seriously bad side of this bed and breakfast is - breakfast!!! There was a table with milk, jam, caffe and few kinds of sweet breads. We saw some German guests who brought their own cheese and other food to eat in morning.

Room Tip: If you are used for cerials in morning, or fruit, or something salty- better bring it with you!

You can relax on the vine covered terrence, take a short hike up to the Campo, or use as a base to explore the region. The B&B has character and is a great location. We have now stayed here several times with family or friends and look forward to returning each time. Frederica and Carla are gracious and helpful hosts. On one we trip we rented the entire B&B and had a great cooking lesson. This trip they gave us lots of info for attending the Palio. We have stayed at several different places in Siena and Florence before first coming to Podere Le Vignette and now we wouldn't stay anyplace else!
