This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to away from the high tourist areas, but close enough to get to major cities and enjoy the gorgeous Tuscany area. You feel like you are far away from reality. We had a double room (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and kitchen). The room was very nice but the only complaint is that it was lacking in kitchen items (coffee pot, wine glasses, etc). We let the owner know and he said that the previous renter must have taken some things. The room should have been checked out before we arrived. When he brought us a coffee pot (the espresso type) it was full of grounds! But that is really my only complaint. We had a wine tasting and were given a tour around the grounds which was very nice. You can purchase wine (which was very good) and olive oil, which they make.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- At 3 kilometres from Siena center, a cypress lane leads you up to the ancient Vineyards and olive trees surround the heart of the winery: the wine cellar dug right into the limestone, the owners' Villa and the elegantly restored and polished outbuildings, typical examples of old Tuscan barns. In the recently restored barn and outbuildings there have been created 3 very special apartments, each completely different from the other both from the colour and the interior point of view; all three remind of the warmth of old Tuscan farm houses where everything is always focused on the so called "enogastronomia". ... more less
