My wife and I took an evening cooking class with Lella during our honeymoon. We decided to make fresh pasta and it was quite an experience. Lella was very helpful and informative (through her english translator). We learned how to make pasta from scratch and we throughly enjoyed eating our own pasta. She also showed us how to make a few versatile sauces and she even provided printouts of the recipes and procedures. I can't say enough good things about this cooking school. Thank you Lella!!!

My wife and I were lucky enough to attend one of Lella's cooking classes which turned out to be one of the top experiences while touring Italy. For the two of us Tuscany is all about great food, great wine, and great people and Lella delivered on two out of the three (we hit the last mark by bringing a nice bottle to class).

The recipes we prepared were not only delicious but also ones that honestly feel can be created back at home making Iran experience that can be recreated for years to come with friends and family. The soup we prepared was honestly one of the best things I ate while in Italy.

Finally, the three ladies working at the school were all amazing people who created a very warm, fun,and homey atmosphere. I cannot recommend attending a class strongly enough!

We took an evening cooking class with Lella in October 2012. It was approximately 5 hours which just flew by. This was a perfect time to do the lesson, we could explore the town centre of Siena through the day and then just easily walk to Lella's kitchen in the evening cook and then enjoy a leisurely dinner.

My husband and I joined a lovely group of 5 Americans for our lesson. This was a private tour group and their guide kindly took loads of photos with our camera to capture each process of the many dishes we prepared so we could just enjoy the hands on cooking experience.

Lella was totally hands on with showing us the preparation of many dishes, pasta making, pasta sauce, tuscan soup, potato souffles, beef casserole and almond biscuits. Lella's English was good but she also had an interpreter there called Erica she was very informative not only on the cooking but with information on Siena itself. Lella also has a kitchen hand working quietly in the background making our cooking time an easier and more enjoyable experience.

After all our had work it was time to sit down and enjoy the meal. We were give wine to accompany the meal (which was also served throughout the preparation stage) and the meals were plated and presented to us like real restaurant meals.

Lella's kitchen is immaculate and so conveniently located in the centre of Siena just a short walk from the main square. Lella even ordered us a taxi at the end of the night.

We arranged a private cooking class through our hotel in Florence, and Lella's school is where we ended up. This class exceeded our expectations on every level. We learned so much (they even provided us a translator) and got to actively participate in the cooking process. Everything we made was delicious and we had so much fun!

I highly recommend Lella's classes, we would most definitely take a class with her again!

Had a great time at this cooking class with 4 other people. The dishes cooked were very tasty and was a very good experience in tuscany. We did the 4 hour evening class, we enjoyed but have already cooked pasta and similar dishes before so I would not say we learnt a huge amount, but enjoyed the recipes cooked and would definitely cook them at home when we return. As we booked an English class, it would have been good if the interpreter knew about the dishes and could speak instead of spending double the time listening to Lella and then hearing it in English. Make sure you bring a pen and write as Lella cooks as the recipes given in class are about 75% correct. Would recommend for an amazing meal in a different setting than usual.
